Texas A&M guy pretty much admits that CAP had possession of the ball under the pile and he took it away.

quote:

After the game, Artis-Payne told reporters he "definitely" recovered the ball on the play, but Obioha seemed less confident about what happened. "A lot of stuff happens at the bottom of a pile," Obioha said. "I'm not going to say who exactly had possession of it, but when it's all said and done I ran out with the ball and we had so possession. So, yes, I did get the fumble."

I have been fine until I read that. That really pisses me off.

The result of that play was pretty obvious on the replay. I can't even imagine how the TV conversation went, but it was clear on the jumbotron.

I knew we had the ball after that replay. And I knew it wouldn't be enough for them to give it to us

It took that to do it for you? The conclusive video replay wasn't enough?

If the A&M guy laying beside CAP had been the one who popped out with the ball I could have maybe seen the call standing but they guy who came out with the ball wasn't even close to recovering it.

That blows. It shouldn't have been on the ground in the first place. Cap had the TD. Not sure what NM was thinking.

I was actually on a combine harvesting soybeans when it happened. So yes, that was pretty much what did it for me.

this is exactly what I was complaining about after the play to the group I was watching with. The guy who recovered the ball was the guy standing upright with his hands in the pile, this should have been a major red flag.

All this said, it shouldn't have come to a fumble recovery after a quarterback strips the ball out of the hands of the running back.

I missed the last six minutes of the game last night (had an expensive date with the wife lined up and was hoping by then AU would be way ahead). I'm debating if I should even watch the last couple of series on my DVR. Ugh.

Some great execution on our part in the last 6 mins. Then it was keystone cops.

If you decide to watch it, you wont believe what you see. I promise you that

I feel like we got ole miss karma. Lose our best receiver and lose on a fluke fumble at the goal line at the end.

Whatever. Just whatever the frick ever. Time to beat the God darn leghumpers

Difference is both our fumbles were totally unforced and we recovered one of them but yea...

hard to be upset about this, for me. we were getting away with holding all night and despite the botched fumble call... we fumbled it again derping around.

shouldn't have even been in position to lose that game like that.
