If anyone has any evidence based on the first 14 months on the job to show I'm wrong, I'm sure I'm not the only one that wants to see it.

The hope is he is wildly successful and stays for 20 years. Too much hinting that won't happen for him here. After this, what's the point for anyone involved to stay as is?

People just think the ‘takeover’ or whatever you wanna call it came from no where… this all came about bc harsin is a stubborn clueless jackass… of course a guy like that’s not gonna negotiate his buyout down. He’s dug in and will be the coach next year… the sooner he’s gone the better.

I’m not defending him, but how would we know he has no desire to learn? Don’t you generally learn in your second year? And we are trying to fire him right after National signing day of his first year.

Harsin may not have a desire to learn, but it doesn’t seem like we had a desire to give him a chance to learn either. This whole thing is just so terrible on all sides

Right.

I don’t think the PTB was picking a fight just to be picking one.

He did the same things at Arkansas State and Boise. Feels certain functions of being the HC are beneath him. Recruiting included. People don't change. Biggest problem is an apparent total fail in the vetting process by ADAG

Unofficial Press Release (No Press Conference).

As required by Auburn Policy, Auburn received information and conducted a thorough investigation and the result indicate no changes will occur as a result of this investigation.

Not sure they even mention Harsin by name.

I don't disagree, this was a bad fight to have.

They thought they had a 'gotcha' but extremely overplayed their hand.

Wouldn’t surprise me in the least if this is the approach

He had the 2nd best class in the sun belt and constantly had a top class in mountain west lol. Harsin has never been proven to be a bad recruiter until this year so if you wanna fire him over it, that’s cool, but don’t say that it’s a pattern.

If we wanna fire him, that’s cool with me (wish we had did it in December though), but the discussion around Harsin has gotten to a point where people are just making up stuff about him.

He has zero support from boosters, right or wrong. He has a new president that didn't hire him. The AD that hired him is on the way out. Half the fans want him gone. The other half seem to have somewhat unrealistic expectations for next year (based on hearing 2004 wouldn't have happened without 2003 many times). His recruiting coordinator might leave, and he has no OC in mid February. This all sounds like the perfect storm for a January 2023 coaching search.

I feel like some recruiting he did put a ton of effort and visited and was heavily involved with (M'ba--Thanos), some he wasn't though or set as a low/no priority to visit like the Georgia High school thing. I think the generalized statement that he did no recruiting is a bit false. It was evident on at least Darren Uscher twitter that he was doing something. Just maybe not where/who we as a fan base necesarrily wanted. We gotta stress that recruiting agaist UGA/UA is an uphill battle.

I want to say some of the west coast guys he got won't get as high a star rating due to not going to as many camps as those near the SEC too.

No it would be a November 2022 search which is a lot better than a February 2022 one

What a shitshow

And you too.

The Harsin Knights will be back here again after the 2022 season, blaming every swingin’ dick in Lee County except for the man who is directly responsible.

Well, at least plenty of 2-star and 3-star (if we’re lucky) players will get their shot at “big-time” SEC football.

Serious question about NIL, because this is actually going to be a problem if he outright rejects cooperating - -

What actual evidence do we have that Harsin is opposed to NIL or not cooperating with NIL?

As far as I have seen, we have developed an opinion that "HARSIN HATES NIL AND IS NOT OPEN TO IT AND HE SUCKS"

Why is that? I'm open to changing my opinion on the dude, but not based on us or pay sites blowing stuff out of proportion or taking a quote out of context.

What the PTB did was pure amateur hour bullshite. I guess they thought Harsin would up and quit under all the pressure created by their rumors.

Bottom line is he went from little to no support from the people with the money to move the NIL needle. They will let Harsin twist in the wind, get fired, then come through big time for the new coach next year. That's my guess

I don’t know how much you followed recruiting around E’s and Jones’ recruiting threads over the years but in general most people that have been paying attention in those years have developed a baseline for where recruiting should be. Darren Uscher sending out offers doesn’t mean recruiting. Auburn will probably offer 150 recruits this class.
