One thing you can be assured of....we are going to frick it up. I have zero hope that we pull a rabbit out of a hat at this point. We are doomed to sucksville for the next 15 years.

I don't understand the hate for AG. He didn't make a great hire in Harsin but if I'm not mistaken the AD at Alabama hired Mike Shula before Nick Saban. Don't get me started on Jay Jacobs.

Mal Moore was forced to hire mike Shula after they fired mike price in the spring. Moore eventually had to surrender full control of the program to Saban in order to hire him because he was that desperate.

Would she want any part of the good ole boys telling her what to do?

I would not be surprised to see them hire an interim. Ohio State and Ole Miss did it. Steele might be a player in that scenario. If it were true that the PTB wanted him in last year, this would accomplish that goal and would keep fan outrage at a minimum because they could say he is not permanent and a new one is coming after one year. This would allow them to get rid of Green, hire a new AD and that person and the new president would make the permanent hire.

We would be in better shape right now if we’d hired Steele. It’s hard to deny he wouldn’t have been a better hire. He could get good coaches with southern ties to work at AU. The AU alum great recruiting coaches would be working here right now and not for our rivals.

Tea leaves. Nothing till next week. Coaches and support staff return on Sunday and Interviews have to happen. Remember this is an HR/Administration investigation.

We have game day, no announcement made tomorrow or Saturday.

Not a huge rush as the dead period is in force.

Harsin asked if he was gonna coach Auburn next season "No Comment"

Where did he say “no comment”? Looks like he just gave her the “what a dumbass” look

All I know is this has turned into a 3 ring circus. Hell, it's worse than Jetgate because it has drug on so long. At least Jetgate was about something that happened on one night and was over. Yeah it was talked about for a while, but there was no "ongoing" saga really. Tubs knew he would be fine after they were exposed. They couldn't fire him at that point, so it was over pretty quick.

This has been my point from the get go whether Harsin stays or goes, whether you like him or not. The way it’s been handled and leaking stories to help win the PR game has backfired and our University and football program has been damaged.

PTB have fricked up in a massive manner. That is the basis of my stance on this whole thing.

I think she would jump at the chance. She was a candidate when Leath hired Greene….so we could have had her then

They have to do a complete investigation. Thorough investigation. With the claims that were made by some coaches and players (race), just imagine if they didn’t thoroughly look into this. It would have been worse than this. Blame the stupid media. If there is blame on PTB, it is that they talked to someone they shouldn’t have.

I seem to recall it lasted a little longer than that.

Seems like Tubs ultimately made the decision to stay, as it was clear the terms of his contract had been violated. I recall it actually being 50/50 as to whether he would resign and demand the full value of his contract or remain at AU. We know now what he did, and he had the PTB by the short hairs the rest of his tenure. I firmly believe he knew the end was coming when Bama hired Saban, and when 2008 happened he was more than ready to hit the road, knowing full well that he could 'resign' and still get his $5 million golden parachute. Which he did.

Tubs had multiple seasons and tanked the year of Jetgate. His firing was warranted. I honestly think Bobby P would have won us a title.

. . . then they should be outed in public.

No one is off limits at this point, let the chips fall where they may, and this includes beat writers. Someone needs to be distanced from Auburn University and if it's not Harsin then HR shouldn't stop till they find some arse to fry in public. It's the quickest way out of this situation.

You don’t have 2004 without Jetgate in my opinion.
