I mean they can fire him him without cause without really getting his opinion. Coaches have been left at tarmacs before lol

Not in this case. If they’ve brought in someone on the outside to investigate the claim, due diligence would mean sitting down with both sides and getting their story. You don’t want to end up in court trying to explain why you never got his side. Gotta cover all bases

I agree thru have to allow Harsin and the admin time to discuss all this in person.

As most decisions that are highly unpopular or to save a little on timing
…auburn will probably announce something Friday around 4 or 5 pm.

I’m seeing a lot of support in labeling this scandal The Mexico Showdown.

Anybody support?

I’m happy to be a part of this event to be discussed for decades. These times are when message boards thrive.

My fear is Harsin stays, gets emotional support from our fanbase, and everyone ignores the absolute shite recruiting he does. I have said all along if you fire him, make his job the reason. Don't make up things.

For starters the “investigation” isn’t over until they sit down with Harsin and his lawyers and get his version. Since he’s been out of town that has yet to happen

Lawyers can meet without their clients there. And I'm fairly certain they've been meeting.

Not sure. It feels like it is a Mexican standoff right now.

The hold up has to be the money men. They stirred this shite up and now they are balking at having to pay the 18 million dollar buyout + buyout for whoever we hire.

Oh if outside legal counsel is involved, which has been said in multiple articles that it is, then they're absolutely negotiating money terms.

Remember, it took UT a full week to announce they were investigating Pruitt to announcing his firing

I certainly didn’t imagine most of the fanbase would be so willing to back Harsin.

Hysterical how both sides can use the same ammo aimed at them to strengthen their own arguments. Auburn fans form a collective group of individuals no where near alike and don’t want the same things. That’s my own conclusion.

Both sides:
“We are now about to be Tennessee”
“I guess the Auburn creed means nothing anymore.”
“We now have a toxic environment”
“What happened to Auburn family”

It’s not just 18m, you also have assistant coaches to buy out.

The price of lumber, yella man should be able to do this himself.

Most will judge him based on wins and losses. If he goes 6-7 again next year he will have no fan support. The only reason anyone is rallying behind him is they don’t wanna fire a coach a year in

So an unrelated question. Aren't all the SEC coaches meeting in Birmingham tomorrow? Who are we going to send?

?

Probably Harsin. We turned into Penny Pinchers all of a sudden.

Still impossible for me to believe we went through all this without even acknowledging the chance he comes up clean and have to pay it all
