Come on Jang, aTm drove the field, hit Hooks in the chest for a touchdown, and he dropped it. Throne couldn’t do crap that game.

Noboody could do crap that game. Peyton had a 21 QBR, Robbie had an 18 QBR.

hUGA, he scored easily to start the 2nd half and then got pulled for the rest of the game.
Ashford did have that one drive as a runner against Georgia (he threw one pass the whole game),but the fact remains: Hugh does not trust him to throw. And we need him to throw. We dont need Ashford in the game for his running ability. Thorne may not be elusive in the pocket but he can pick up yaradage on the ground as part of a coordinated running attack, and that is good enough while the schedule is easier and the pass rush is less fierce. At one point in week 6 Thorne led our whole team in rushing yards after all. Robbie is not needed anymore. Cant pass; not the only one that can run.

We also watched Ashford play last year and he did not do much except contribute empty stats. He got the bulk of his yardage against LSU in two broken coverage deep plays which led Auburn to a quick two score lead. Ashford didnt do anything for the rest of the game-passing stats rendered meaningless. Meanwhile, his outings against Bama and Ole Miss were pretty nice, but they were while the game was mostly out of hand.

He literally went like 11-2 doing just that.

He also went 5-7 and has regressed every season he’s been a starter, with 30+ INTs in less than 3 years, and lost his starting job.

It’s also no coincidence it was against 3 of the worst teams in the SEC.

It is almost like it is by design. Pass rush slacks off as the competition weakens so keep Thorne in and dont need Ashford anymore.

Ashford= jailbreak offense and Hugh wont be doing that any more.

And that was our only chance to win the IB. Oh well.

He is NOT a game changer, and his game changing RB was gone to the Seahawks. He also lost most of his offensive line. He did have weapons at receiver that we could only dream of having, BUT my point is that he won't lose the game If you give him the support system. Nothing more. The Michigan St people CLAIMED he was about to lose his job, but the kid who took his place(supposedly) is awful. I call sour grapes when thorne left so they made up a bullshite story about him leaving because he couldn't compete.

Do I believe Ashford is better than Throne? Hell yes

Robby Ashford:

4th string QB at Oregon.
3rd string QB at Auburn behind Finley and Calzada.
Backup or 3rd string QB this season even though he had all spring as the #1 guy.

This is getting embarrassing.

Your hero has never won a QB battle anywhere. This was like his 4th try and fail dawg. Let me guess, it's THREE different coaching staffs all being wrong LOL. Oregon was wrong. Harsin was wrong. Freeze is wrong. It's actually the dipshit on Tigerdroppings who's batting .100 who is right gawd dammit. Actually, I could go back even further too: Ashford was committed to Ole Miss his SR season, then Kiffin got hired and told him to kick rocks.

I've never seen a player get this many opportunities to show that he's a total dunce trying to play QB.

I see what you are saying regarding their pass rush, but if he is our best chance then we are not winning rhe ball game anyways.

we dont even know if Ashford can win that kind of game. He won in the battle of remedial midgets, but I have yet to see him win a big game. I dont even know if it is in his DNA.

Pair this year’s defense with last year, and he’d won a lot. It was the defense that cost the games in the final half of the season last year. They would’ve beat LSU, ole miss, msu, Arkansas, and it would’ve been a very close IB.

Side note of a Side note where in the hell is Shane Hooks? Not saying he's all world, but he's better than Cam Brown. That guy just needs to take a seat and figure it out for awhile.

Ashford is electric with the ball in his hands. If he converts to a slot receiver and hones his skills a bit, he can make big bucks at the next level. If his ego does not allow it, then that’s his loss.

Jville… bro… it is a PROBLEM that you can’t be happy after a win because the guy you dubbed the best ended up being the worst. I get wanting to be right, but i have a feeling you get all kinds of giddy every time Thorne does something wrong just so you can bark at the moon about how Ashfrod should be playing instead.

J’ville supporting Ashford against insurmountable facts that Robbie is not a QB.

I am certainly happy about the nice win streak we are on. Been fun and way better than losing but Im not putting a ton of stock in wins against Vandy and Arkansas. Those are two bad teams that we should beat like that.

Thorne doenst look as scared as he did earlier and like every one else, Im happy we are not playing quarterback carousel anymore.

Playing well against Bama and a possible good bowl opponent will tell the story if he has gotten any better. His best games were against shitty opponents. I think we are better now. Iron Bowl will determine that

Went to the game. That place was dead from the get go. 21-0 in the first made it worse.

Good win they were supposed to get.

How are you still riding for Ashford?

He came in. Immediately threw a pick (and it was a bad one) and went to the sideline and cried over it.
