So here we are still with no hires. I don't know what to make of it. All games except Bama/OSU are done and I seriously doubt we're after anyone on those staffs.
Is Harsin after NFL people? Or does he already have hires made and they are waiting to announce till after the contracts are worked out?

Lebby would be great. Avalos would be really good. Champ I would be fine with. I don't doubt Champ's knowledge of D and recruiting, I just doubt his "desire" at this point in his career.

Why is nobody mentioning TRob? I would think this would be a no brainer. He’s been with Champ long enough to know his system, he’s a lights out recruiter, and he has the ties to Florida and Auburn that we need with Harsin coming in

But WM is out of a job now. I don’t see him getting another HC gig anytime soon. What’s TRob gonna do, follow him to his next stop when WM is a DC, just to be demoted back to position coach? He’s been a DC in the SEC now, he obviously knows Defense, and he knows Auburn. He knows all of the areas that we recruit in and from accounts is a pretty dang good recruiter.
I know there are others with better resumes, I’m just wondering why he hasn’t been looked at,... he checks a lot of boxes for us at the moment.

Feel like this would have to be where Trob breaks from Champ - I get loyalty and all but to start taking steps backwards in your own career at the sake of another seems silly.

That being said, I’d be cool if we kept Caddy. He Basically just got here, showed promise in recruiting, and it might sell Tank on staying..

I agree. What has he done to deserve that position at Auburn? The last time Muschamp bolted, he left us high and dry.
If Harsin wants him so be it. Let Harsin hire who he wants. He is the one that will be held responsible for performance. No one should be forced on him.

He hasn't done anything to deserve the DC position here, but the last part of your statement makes no sense. How did he leave us high and dry? He got a promotion to become a defensive coordinator at an SEC school. He was the DB coach here. You think he screwed us by taking a promotion?

TRob’s a great guy and an Auburn Man, but I would hope we are aiming our sights a good bit higher.
