Great team game lots to work on but feels good to play well. Need some 2s to keep pushing the 1s.

Good game to start the season for once.

Those dont count. He was lucky to win them all.

Team looked good. I really liked the variety and so many guys getting involved. Im careful to take much other from it as Akron is really really untalented and not coached well. It was fun seeing the team play so mistake free for a while

Good game and they did what they needed to do

It has seriously been since 1999 where I felt like we were not 'holding back the offense' for some future opponent. Under Gus, we have won this 42-17 or so. Second string would have got limited play time.

The team looked prepared, all you can ask for. We haven't always had that.

Great start for what looks like a coach who knows how to prepare his team

Louisville

Would have won that game had they realized what they had in Lamar before the game was out of reach, and were well on their way to coming back before they ran out of time.

And let's not forget that the next week was the near disaster against Jacksonville State.

Great to see the students stay in the stands

These students have had it rough through all this COVID. I just hope we’re through all the mess soon so these kids can have a normal college experience.

LSU is in trouble if Max Johnson is their best QB. He is deceptively quick but he is average at best right now. UCLA about to score again while up four.

A freak injury to your starter in the off-season will do that.

Bet they wish they still had TJ.

He just made the gutsiest no look pass I’ve ever seen. It fell incomplete but it spelled disaster from the start.

Auburn tight ends can eat on underneath passes against LSU. LSU linebackers are horrible

Here's a stat someone posted on AuFam:

Shenker is 5 catches away from having the most receptions by a TE in a season over the last 7 years.

Wow.

Don’t think they’ll have to pass much with the way UCLA is gashing them on the ground

Some of my big takeaways:
We have some great targets and options that I was worried about going into this season.
Our RB core has some great depth.
Hall/Moultry combo is one helluva beastly pressure point on defense.
Bo Nix was planting his feet and staying in the pocket.
Our whole team didn't look like they lost their zippiness/speed in the 4th quarter, even if it was mostly 2nd team then--Probably due to Malzahn's lack of good S&C.
TE play was phenomenal, from receiving to blocking, everything a TE is supposed to do.
