Very impressive game by Gus. Impressed but not sold yet.

Saban would have had his second string offense in the game and, chewing their asses out for fricking up.

The reason Auburn will never compete with Alabama.

Gatewood looks like a bigger stronger Malik. But we've seen very little of their passing ability.

But I'm all for Nix if Gus opens the playbook up like he did today for Stidham.

I think we’re likely screwed with any of them early next season, but that will just be another reason to append to the Big List of Why Its Never Gus Malzahn’s fault.

Book this post.

The guy that put up 63 isn't coming back.

Pissed away 2 qtrs not throwing the ball with his two backups.

So are we going TF Bo pocket passer?

Are you blind?

Those lights might not be the end of the tunnel

Just had this argument with a guy here at work. What exactly have we seen of Gatewood that would indicate that he is either good or bad at QB? Pretty sure this was his first game action all year. Looked decent on the zone read. He made the right reads unlike Willis. I would have loved to see him get the first team play calls all second half to get a real feel for what he can do, but I guess we will have to wit until next year.

Or until he transfers out of frustration. This kid hung with us two years when recruiting, and reward him with a couple of hand offs at the end of the season. A real shame.

Pretty sure he's been hurt all year.

Why is Gus such an awful interview?? Is embarrassing for a head coach who just broke records in a win to act/look so grumpy (as my 6 year old would say).

Saban always looks like that til he's got the trophy in his hand. STFU. It was a good interview and Gus said alot of the right things.

Not a bad thing to say about that game coaching or players. Other than Malik not understanding football. Spring QB battle should be a good one.

Gatewood Vs Bo

Typically he doesn’t come across as surly as he did today. Maybe he was frustrated with mistakes (like Saban) despite putting up 63 points.

Some of you are never happy.

Oh im very happy. Im happy with Gus' playing calling, his intensity during the game and this team's effort today. Gus is the one looking pissed. And at this point in his career there is zero reason to compare him to Saban at anything. You can get away with being an arse if you win as much as Saban.

He would do himself a big favor if he came across as more engaging to the public.

I get the impression that Gus is fully prepared to give Auburn a good, hard Tubervilling.

You noticed that? Its not the first time Gus has chastised him from the sidelines for making a blatant wrong decision on an rpo. I realize the kid has not played much but certainly he has practiced for over a year now, and he cant make a read?

I hope the officials admit they fricked up at the end of the game. Being up 7 TDs is irrelevant. It’s not tbe refs job to prevent the score from getting out of hand and take points off the board. We were playing conservative and let go the opportunity to kick two FGs and they still couldn’t stop us. That’s on Purdue.
