Right up there with the punch out as the most important play of the game.
Was at a pool party (8-ball) with a very mixed AU to AU crowd and the light at the end of the tunnel switched on.

Just a flicker of hope but you could sense and feel the hope return to the room. That was the play that started it. The mighty was falling and they just hadn't landed face down. The first of the "oh shits" if memory is serving me well.

I will say that Chiz doesn’t get enough credit for taking the bullets from the Bamaham media and keeping that team focused on what they could control. It was all that much sweeter to be down 24-0 in their house and rip their heart out.

Chiz handled it perfectly. That's what makes him losing the team only two years later so perplexing.

To this day I’m still certain they had our signs up until the late second quarter.

I’ve heard enough over the years from some guys at Bama that I’m fairly confident they did as well. I know that we started having multiple plays for each call/signal in the second half. We made a big switch there.

Kiffin had the same issue in Ttown in 2009 and he called them out on it.

The real travesty was Darvin was 3 yards away from being Auburn’s first 1,000 yard WR since in forever. Cam overthrew him on an out and up that was going to be a long touchdown in the natty. I still think Cam’s back was hurt in that game.
