Seeing some chatter that we’re focusing in on 6’7” Chad Baker-Mazara for the 3. 46.9% from 3 last year and 48.8% overall for Northwest Florida State juco. Previously at SDSU. Not big on the idea of taking a guy from juco but it’s good to see he was previously at a bigger D-I program and his shooting splits are insane.

I think he is #1 at the # right now, but Kentucky is going to push for him as well.

Saw that, I’m getting impatient on this Bb.

We just can't get anyone to jump on that 3 spot. Frustrating. I'm sure one will but I'm ready to stop checking haha

Starting to feel like Gus' OT position recruiting. Passing on great guys in order to go after the bigger fish, then losing out on all of them.

He just committed to Auburn so this is good news, I guess

Baker-Mazara from what I have seen is a good scorer and handles the ball well to be lanky.
My concern is defense but you know Bruce if you don’t put in the effort on defense you won’t get on the court.
Nice pickup for a secondary scoring option. If he gets 20 minutes a game I would expect around double digit points per game. 10-11 pt per game

Good stuff. Nice replacement for Flam. 2 deep looks good as long as Johni comes back

I was concerned that we’d really fall off next year, but If Broome stays we will have a really solid senior-laden roster with good shooters (finally!) that will help us come tournament time. We don’t have any superstars, with the possible exception of Holloway, but I really like how this roster is shaping up. Lots of hustle on an upperclassman dominated team.
ETA-that’s not even counting Lior Berman who will be a super senior

1 Aden/Tre
2 Jones/KD
3 CBM/Moore or Chaney
4 Jaylin/Moore or Chaney
5 Broome/Cardwell
I love this roster as long as Broome returns and I'd still like to add a 5 if possible

I would much rather if Broome isn’t going to play any at the 4 spot to have a big bodied 4 that can get a little down and dirty underneath in rebounding and being physical. Needs to be a 6’8” plus guy that can be a 3rd big as well.
We will have a tougher ceiling on the OCC schedule this year so they better be ready to play early that is a concern with heavy turnover of the roster as well.

From Broome: “If a team wants me and wants to draft me, then I’ll stay in the process. But anything else, I’ll probably just go back to school,” he said. “I’ve gotten great feedback since I’ve been here. So just kind of taking what they’ve given me and just continue to work, continue to perfect my craft. And hopefully be back next year, if I don’t make it this year.”
On Broome: Broome’s solid play in the G League camp carried over into the first game action of the combine, where he recorded 20 points and a game-high 11 rebounds while given more than 23 minutes (also tops for the contest) of playing time. Broome also blocked a couple of shots, dished out three assists and committed zero turnovers in his team’s 122-95 victory. Broome said he’s already met with about a dozen NBA teams and hopes to have more meetings and workouts in the near future, with the May 31 deadline to stay in the draft or return to school looming. He said the feedback so far has been positive, and teams want to see more of his outside shooting ability and agility in space, as well as continued improvement with the ball in his hands. Still, his name is absent from the various NBA mock drafts that have been updated this week, though there will be more opportunities between now and May 31 to make a positive impression on scouts.

That's great news. Sounds like he's being smart about it.

I would expect him to come back. However we have to look at the downside of it. He will be taking more outside shots.
I still have nightmares of Chris Porter coming back the extra year to work on his outside shot
