I'm not saying those games don't matter, but they shouldn't matter as much (or more) than games in March.

Last 10 games should count for something of a momentum metric.

Let’s go!

Beat Yale!!!

UConn to Boston is about an hour and a half drive. That really is a home game for them.

Y’all are being bitches about this. Boston folks are some of the most loyal sports people in the nation and are awesome. This is a great destination for us and Bruce will kill it.

Bruce was born in Boston and went to Boston College.

I think pearl is right..: we’re paying this year for the great draw we got last year.

What does that mean? Playing Houston in R32 is a great draw? Or is the argument just because we were in Birmingham?

So am I the last to notice that the Final Four is in Glendale?

Long way to go, but how cool would it to win titles in two sports in the same venue.

Yeah man… we were a 9 seed who got to play essentially two home games against higher seeded teams. That gave the committee leash to screw us this year.

It is what it is… some years you get a break and some you don’t.

Anyone going to Spokane?

Edit: Though WBB was going to Portland but it looks like that will be the next round. They’re going to Connecticut.

Most of this is useless information.

Did we feel like we should have been a 3 seed? That would have put us in the bottom of that draw?

3 seed at worst 2 seed at best. Every metric we are a top 5 team overall. Either the metrics matter or they don’t. If Duke had the same metrics they would be a 2 seed lock

Only team in the top 10 offensive/defensive efficiency.
Absolute bullshite that we got stuck as a 4 seed in UCONNs bracket and have to travel 2000+ miles to Bumfrick Washington for the first 2 rounds, then play a true road game against UCONN in the Sweet 16.
To avoid getting this thread whacked I will withhold my diatribe, but it has to do with CBP's faith/conservatism/outspokenness/work ethic, and if anyone is interested, take a gander at who is the head of the selection committee this year. I will give you a hint...
he is the polar opposite in every way.
IMHO there is an agenda at play in this situation, and probably influenced by the networks and big $$$..

When we are limping into the tournament you can bet the NCAA will have us in Birmingham again.

Agree but if anyone is mad it should be UCONN. As a 1 seed, they are getting a tough as shite draw

I think you are reading way too much into things. There is a 0% chance that group that handles the brackets are sitting up in that hotel are talking the politics of the coaches. Go read the UCONN message boards. They are the ones that think they got screwed because they believe they got the toughest 2,3,4 seeds all in their bracket, and that the committee is doing that to prevent them from repeating.

Stidham good find and should tell you everything you need to know about where people that understand the game knows…. So whoever wins the round of sweet 16 is probably going to the final 4

Obviously if the chalk holds for AU and UConn

What the hell is going on? This crew hates Auburn. This game wouldn’t be close if not for horrible and I mean complete trash officiating

Wasn't in a position to post today in real time but did watch the game, and this was the most one-sided bullshite called game I have seen in a LONG time.
It is a miracle we won by 20 while playing 5 on 8 for the entire game.

Uconn got tough teams but getting the games is Boston offsets that a good deal
