If we get Cleveland we’re a legitimate contender for the SEC and can make a deep run in March. It would be the best team we’ve had since 2019.

I think if we land a good 3 our ceiling his is as high as any team in the Bruce era but our floor isn't super high relative to most of our teams for the last 5-6 years. Aden/Tre is definitely a higher ceiling than WG/Tre at the 1 but there are no guarantees relying on young players there.

That’s my concern , having such young PG play and unknown (at least for me) at the 3.

Pettiford won defensive MVP at Nike EYBL. He did this while averaging 19 ppg on 57% shooting and 45% from 3

Selfishly I hope he doesn’t grow too much over the next couple years because if he does he’s likely a one and done.

Just depends. I’m all for the Jabari Smith, Isaac Okoro, Sharife Cooper type one and dones who make incredible impact in just one season. What we don’t need though is the JT Thor types. He was a solid player for us but he declared mainly because of raw potential. It’s worked out well for him I guess but wasn’t as great for our program

In other news, one of Bama’s brand new transfers was arrested in ttown for possession of marijuana and multiple guns. It’s insane how much trouble their players have gotten into recently.

Bama seems to give their guys a ton of leash and it shows. No coach/program can control kids 24/7. We saw what happened when Chizik tried. But there’s some program level accountability that seems to be lacking there that other top programs have
