UK is much more talented and getting desperate. They may rise to the occasion with the crowd and Gameday in town.

UK cannot play defense and if we play solid D, stay disciplined and don't turn the ball over on O, we will eat them alive on ball screens and working it inside.
I am more worried about SC doing what MSU did to us.
They seem to play similar styles.

Watching this also.
It seems to be tough sledding on the road this year no matter who you are.
This should be a wide open tourney in March.
I don't see a truly dominant team, and see a whole bunch who could get hot and win it all.
Crazy to think that SOMEBODY has to go on a 6-0 run to win it all. Not many have even managed a six game run in conference play this year.
What you think?

Kansas got destroyed 79-50 on the road to unranked Texas Tech.

Here I am hoping, just hoping that Aden has been sandbagging for March Madness…

I don't think it's a coincidence that all of the top ranked teams currently are playing outside of the SEC and the Big 12, the two best conferences by far this season. They just don't have nearly as many of these really tough in conference road games and are stacking up more wins because of it. The SEC and Big 12 teams all continue to have these troubles on the road, and it just proves that winning in a road environment against good tournament teams is really tough. Hopefully, it does benefit us how much we have been tested in these environments against tourney type teams during the year. But I do agree that our guards are going to have to take it up another level and we are going to have to start making 3's again in order to make an E8 or F4 run.

On a separate note, I think South Carolina could be in for a rough finish down the stretch themselves. I do really like their team and think they are physical, well coached team. And they probably have the best road win in all of conference play against UT. But outside of that win, they have really been the beneficiary of a much easier conference schedule so far. Their next 3 toughest games so far in conference have been Miss State, Ole Miss, and Kentucky, all at home. They also got killed by Bama on the road. They have also played Missouri and UGA twice already, Vandy, and Arkansas. They finish with 4 road games down the stretch against tournament teams, and have to host UT and UF. I think they will fall back to reality a little bit during that stretch and we should be the start of that.

He’s definitely not sandbagging but I think he is the kind of shooter that once he finds his stroke again and gets out of his head, it’s going to be game on.

I'd love to see A&M win their next 3 for two reasons:
1. They'd give Bama another L
2. They'd likely become a Q1 win for us. (they sit at 37 in the NET after that nice win over UT)

I wish he’d stop shooting so much and focus on passing and facilitating. He never seems comfortable on the court

He can’t answer the defenders being so physical with him. His entire life he’s been able to just pour in points to be able to counter what players were trying to do. That’s his go to is the keep shooting. I’m not sure a ton can be corrected mid season but I bet you he puts on 15 lbs of muscle by next season and learns to play through contact.

What can we hope for is he just hits the open shots he gets at 35-40ish percent clip. Protect the basketball and hit 80+ percent of his FTs. He still has a huge role on the team. Benching and limiting minutes isn’t an option because as physical is Tre is you never know when he might get some dumb fouls in a tournament game. We saw Harper get in foul trouble twice in the F4 run.

That’s when Jvon McCormick had his most special moments despite his struggles for a big chunk of the season. First season in big time college ball is tough for anyone, but especially undersized guards. Gotta stay ready and focus on the little things you can do to get better during the season. Just because he’s struggling now doesn’t mean he is certain to struggle in March

We just need for him to play to what he’s capable of nothing more. Just give us solid minutes.

He’s panicking at points in the game now and I understand everyone’s concerns but need his teammates to support him as they appear to be doing. During the Bama game looked so shook he might pass out before shooting FTs. At Florida he missed a 3 in the second half and it took him a minute of trying to foul before he could get the whistle so hopefully the coaches would take him out. We need him wanting to on the floor even if he isn’t scoring. That’s the mental part the coaches need to work with him in my opinion

My guess is 4-3, decent seed in the SEC tournament, lose early, be a 6 seed in the NCAA tournament and go to the final 4.

The more I think about the Florida game, the more I think UF looked fresh with a detailed game plan on both sides of the ball while AU looked tired.

The worst part of the game to me was that they ran extra people at Jaylin and Broome when they got they ball and we didn't know what to do.

They also pushed our guards around badly in the first half.

I agree though...we looked tired and out of sync. They played a great first half and first part of the 2nd half. It happens.

Yeah but other opponents have brought extra defenders on them and we've handled it really well. Hoping it was just a one-off
