That’s a great spot for him.

Think Cleveland is going to pop Monday and a 5 sometime next week too.

Cleveland would be a nice get. His numbers as a sophomore were a little bit better than Flanigan’s were as a senior.

Middlebrooks will be on campus tomorrow and Cleveland is expected soon as well.

We’ve also contacted 6’7 forward Chaney Johnson from UAH. He’s averaged 17 ppg the last 2 seasons in D2 basketball. From Thompson HS originally.

The kid from UAH would be a really good pickup that would give us some flexibility with the lineup.

AA7, the kid looks skilled from what I have seen but that is a massive jump in competition. Interesting prospect tho.

Oh for sure. I don’t think he’s someone you want starting.

I don't want to rush it, but I'm pretty confident in that Cleveland's coming to AU. Middlebrooks is eh for me though, just kinda waiting after the visit.

Jayden Williams, Bidunga, Dylan Harper and Isiah Evans will probably visit campus soon. Staff has a sizable interest in Tre Johnson, but Baylors trying to lock him down (he's in their backyard), going to be a fun recruitment to watch

I think we're almost finished with our DII quota , I kid but Chaney Johnson isn't a project

Yeah, that's all I have

What does Middlebrooks give us that Cardwell doesn’t?

Cardwell struggled to be playable against the better teams on our schedule. The minutes Broome sat and when he got in foul trouble were a real issue for us, he hasn’t progressed like we might have hoped. I haven’t watched middlebrooks but I guess for whatever reason the staff likes him better to steal those 10-12 minutes with . Ideally you’d have both because bogs obviously have the random foul trouble games where no one can defend without fouling

Middlebrooks can step away from the basket and hit jump shots even threes. Cardwell can only make dunks. He’s really good on the pick and roll and a few blocks and rebounds but not a shooter.

Production on offense that includes something other than a dunk.

If he can catch a basketball cleanly that would be a huge difference over Caldwell.

I guess I need to look at other highlights, bc all of his scoring that I saw was layups, put backs, and dunks.
