That’s the thing about the Big Dance no one knows where they are that’s why so many upsets each year. It’s a crap shoot. You could be the best team in the country by far and meet up with a hot team and have a just a slightly off night and lose. We see the upset in the 5/12 matchup almost every year in the first round.

Agree...not sure where this team lines up. When they play well they can beat anyone. They need better guard play. Need to shoot and rebound better.

Out of the last 7 games:

MsSt game was the only lopsided rebounding game, they had 15 more boards . It was the worst overall shooting too with 34%fg and 25%3p.

Bama game was only 5 more boards in their favor. The atrocious stat in the bama game was the 20% beyond the arc. Surprisingly, fg % was 42.

As much as the LSU game was a blowout, rebounding was in LSU's favor by 7. Shooting was really good though at 46%fg and 40%3p.

The A&M game, although a win, was nothing to write home about. Got out rebounded by 10, shot 39% and 23% beyond the arc. Defense won the day.

At this stage, this team looks like it could beat anyone or lose to anyone left on the schedule. Even blowing Vandy out didn't look like a well oiled machine.

That is not good since we are not shooting lights out except for JB and (mostly)JW.

I always look at rebound and turnover differential when I scour the box score.

We usually win the turnover stat.

Very high floor, medium ceiling.

I hope the rotations are more fluid today.

CBM and Aden starting could throw off ole Piss. (I don’t know if that is happening, I want it to happen) We would have true offensive/defensive 1/2 rotation. IMHO

We had a rotation of tre, Denver, Jaylin, johni and cBM and it looked great. Want more of this. Also, want more full court d.

You are right. My thought was more hypothetical. I like the theory that some guys are true come off the bench give em hell type players and Tre, KD, Cardwell seem to me, like that guy. Aden isn’t used to it.

Then I also feel CMoore, could benefit playing with those aggressive defensive guys more to enable his type of skill set.

You need 3 reliable scorers in each rotation. That’s why CBM comes in with the second group. He is also on the court at the end of games

What skillset is it exactly that you think CMoore has? Besides hustle.

I knew someone would ask this. lol
He plays a big role as the guy nobody cares about. He gets those offside put backs. I feel his hustle would turn into more positives with that group.

This is the match up he can probably handle the best. He's seen 4 years of Flannigan and can defend.

That’s a good point. Berman played his best defensive game against ole miss, in my opinion.

Moore definitely does that, when we play teams that completely ignore him on the offensive end we really struggle offensively since we are basically playing 4 on 5 on that end.

Moore doesn't have height, can't shoot, and can't really rebound all that well. He's an average defender and hustles, that's about it. And that's fine if he's the Berman role as the 10th/11th guy off the bench, not so much as a guy coming in as a starter.

It's all fine and dandy to split time between good talents like Aden and Tre, or Denver and KD. But putting mediocre players out there to split time just makes our team weaker.

I love Bruce and what he's done for us, but the running two full lineups out there when you don't have the talent to fully support that is baffling to me. Almost all of the good teams in the country have their best players going for 30+ minutes a game for a reason.

Good point. The rotations change throughout the game. I am just hoping for better road production.

Moore is the best wing defender on the team and it really isn’t close. If he could simply rebound better and get the occasional putback I’d love him being on the floor but he’s gotten worse every year at those things somehow

Moore has shot over 40% from 3 over a season twice. He’s shooting 12% this season. Maybe he’s due to break out of the slump. He plays on average 14 minutes which keeps CBM who is a very small guy from taking way to much punishment game over game. CBM also played poorly at Bama and Miss state
