Coop might like that since he is already in the second round.

Not uncommon for players to tell teams not to draft after picks 40-45 in RD2.

A lot of guys prefer to pick their destination at that point. For example, Fred Van Fleet

Seriously. There needs to be a a behind the scenes story on what happened to Sharife Cooper on draft night. That would be one of the best reads in a long time. Not that I follow the draft super close but I don’t know that I’ve seen anything like this.

I mean it’s not that crazy. He’s small. Doesn’t shoot the 3 well, in a league that is dependent on the 3 ball and has minimal game play. Someone will take him in the next 5-8 picks

He is elite at one thing.........passing.

He is average, or below average, at everything else. I am not sure he is even 6' tall. He can't do anything about that. He could have, and should have, come back and worked on the things he needs to improve on.

I hear you but he orchestrated our offense and it was much better with him in the lineup. I feel like he has elite vision and command of the offense. The dude averaged 20ppg. That’s not easy in college basketball.

I’m pumped. Never had an Auburn guy on my NBA team.

He also went to where I woulda gone to HS if we didn’t move in middle school and where my parents graduated from. Josh Smith was the last Mceachern kid to go to the hawks and he turned out pretty well. I am beyond pumped. Will be buying his jersey immediately

Cooper has an elite handle, high level finisher and elite at getting to the FT line.

He sucks at Defense and shooting. It is hard to imagine he doesn't figure out shooting, he has too much body control + high FT% to not be able to rebuild his shot. On defense, he just has to hope they can hide him in the corner.

I like Cooper but how's he going to get on the court with Trae Young there?

I expect Thor to be a superstar in about 5-6 years if he continues his work on strength and defense.

Congrats to both young men.

My brother in law has to play against Josh Smith He went to Kennesaw Mountain.

My son is thrilled about Sharif. He’s a huge Hawks fan and obviously a big Auburn fan as well.

Trae isn’t going to play 48 minutes a game.

bro I'm not going to try to burst your bubble about Cooper being on the Hawks but probably one of the worst situations for him for professional development.

Trae plays about 34 minutes per game. But we all know Cooper has areas to improve on maybe it's good he is with a good shooter to push him. Neither are good defensively.
