At this point, I’m sure it would be very unforeseen for him to return.

Ship has sailed.

I don’t think anyone knows. There’s still a spot. It will boil down to is he willing to risk a low draft spot and is he alright playing behind Jabari/back playing the 5 in a small ball lineup.

YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW! (Will Ferrell)

Seriously we should be elite good if Pearl can summon some defense. Not his strong suit.

Josh Vitale
@JoshVitale
Bruce Pearl: "We'll return six players, is all. And we'll bring in six."

6 returning: Flanigan, Cambridge, Moore, Jaylin, Stretch, Cardwell. Expectation might be that Thor is staying in the draft.

6 joining: Jabari, Green, Jasper, Sills, Kessler + 1 more. K.D. Johnson tomorrow?

If Thor is returning, I’d like to know who isnt.

KD will be a better piece for this team than Powell would have been. Not that he’s an eye for eye replacement, but just comparing the two.

Agree, I just didn't know anything about him. The guy is a missle.

Pearl always recruits tweeners and undersized guards that overperform. That's why he's at Auburn and not a blue blood. Perfect for AU and college basketball.

Assuming there are no more departures, this team should be deep. Moore is likely our 11th man and he is someone who could easily warrant 15+ minutes on most teams.

I guess we can try a lineup.

Order is not based on who is starting just where they will be playing...

Green/Jasper/KD Johnson
Sills/KD Johnson/Flannigan
Flannigan/Cambridge/Williams
Williams/Smith/Kessler
Kessler/Cardwell/Stretch/Smith

I think the 4's and 5's after getting experience in their primary roles outide of Cardwell/Stretch will be interchangeable at the 4 or 5.

Any other thoughts?

Frick how could I forget Moore at the 3. He’s one of my favorite players not because of results but because of his hardworking attitude and joy he has for success of his teammates

Definitely will be talented but in the following order I think determines how the season goes… defense(team defense), consistent shooting, chemistry, selflessness(teamwork).

A+ all those and I think sweet 16 is the floor

One of Cambridge/Sills/Moore is probably squeezed out of the rotation, as is Stretch. We will play 10 consistently and keep coming at folks until they quit

Not ready to make any calls on anyone being out of the rotation with injuries and grades and whatever.

I want to see better shooting this season. Hard to run a stretch/open offense with poor outside shooting.

Moore and Stretch are injury/foul trouble guys.

Yep, plus they’ll allow Flanigan to not have to guard so many guards. Sills is a good defender too. Between all those guys and the trees we will have down low, this should be a much better defending team.
