Scoot has a “big day” coming up:
I’m guessing decision day but who knows.

JBoy just said G league has gained some momentum lately.

Seems like you get more recognition and increase your value going NCAA.

Yep Jalen Green has sounded like he has regretted his G league decision lately. He said no doubt he’d be the no 1 pick in the draft had he gone to college.

Those G-league guys are really good. So not only are they giving up the headlines, they are increasing competition.

Ofc, some of these guys want the money now, and expect as all great athletes think, that they will still get more value once they get to the NBA..
These guys are overconfident for a reason...and it is hard to pass up a 6 figure contract right in front of them, when they are 17 or 18.

With NIL starting in July I don’t see why he can’t get some compensation. GLeague loses what little luster it has once NIL starts

Great point. Green may go top 10 but going to the G League did him no favors.

He and Kuminga both have the name and reputation that will stick so it didn’t really hinder them much, but there are other guys that aren’t in that elite echelon that it hurt them pretty severely.
If you’re one of the top 3 players in your class and you want to get paid and not have to worry about school then the G-League makes sense IMO. For the others it’s a really bad decision.

Green doesn’t have the name anymore. He could have had a top 3 pick contract

J Lee says his source telling him “probably G League.”
This freaking sucks
This freaking sucks

Both Jalen Green and Kuminga are projected top 5. A lot of places have Green top 3.
The only reason Green is #3 and isn't #1 is because this class is loaded at the top. Cunningham is one of the best draft prospects in years while Evan Mobley is a 7Ft #1 pick talent as well.
In light of the pandemic, going to college probably was the better move considering condensed GLeague schedule + experience. Have to be off your rocker to think that Jalen Green is guaranteed#1 if he did things differently

I definitely don’t think it’s guaranteed, but it could be argued and Green is saying it. So if it gives us ammo to recruit against the G-League then I’m ready to get completely off our rocker

There's not a 4 or 5 in our league that can guard him outside the paint.
