Anything on Tyty? Because this is upsetting

So Pinson is no longer a target and they aren’t completely sure scoot can reclassify? Sounds risky.

JLee saying it will come down to Gonzaga and us for Kessler and we should know something soon because he has a zoom scheduled with Gonzaga.

I don’t mind him.
Don’t tread on his HotBoards, bro.

-I’m not shocked at all about Pinson. Initially, I thought there was too much volatility in our roster for him to feel comfortable with his role.
-I honestly believe Trey Alexander is the most underrated player in his class and he will be better than most think in our system, much like Justin Powell.

Hooks gave an update this AM:
The fat lady has not sung yet but progress continues.
With Scoot a new option is pushing hard with sweet sounding melodies. This suitor is the G League. They of course promise the world but the data shows that for a kid like him taking this route would be foolish on many levels. The challenge for AU is laying this out to a family who may not be fully able to understand it all. Time is moving on and decisions need to be made.
The game of musical chairs is in full swing so lets hope they make a move soon. I still feel optimistic the right move will be made.
Regarding Kessler we continue to be in a most excellent position. There is Very high optimism that he will wear Orange and Blue next year. This said... it is not over untill it's official.
Lastly...Do not be surprised to see a guard commit (can't divulge who yet) even as early as later today. Moves need to be made as this whole new world of transfers leaves programs in need of solidifying.

Must be Sills. I am not impressed w him tbh. He didn't play much down the stretch at Ark, and when he did, did nothing. For a guard his FT % is poor (about 67%). I guess if we get him, it is for his 3 pt %?
I guess Pearl thinks we need a veteran at SG to go with our incoming guy Alexander.

Yeah he's more of a depth piece. I'd be fine having him for that. I wonder how he is defensively compared to Pinson, cause I'm still wondering why we balked on him.

Is the G League affecting other programs nearly as much as its affecting us? That’s ridiculous

Not sure we balked at him, but someone else that may have better info can clarify.
My thinking is Ark is where he is strongest to go, and he told our guys he has eliminated us...so we just did the political thing and said he was not on our radar anymore... IMO...

I wonder if they intentionally go after prospects targeted by certain coaches. Probably not but it sure does feel that way.

Wasn’t Sills tearing it up before an injury he sustained?
Posted on 4/8/21 at 12:21 pm to AuSteeler
Sills doesn’t excite me near as much as the other guards that have been mentioned. He’s a solid shooter and we could do worse, but he’d definitely be behind Henderson, Washington, and Pinson for me.

Have no idea why they would pass on Pinson but take Sills
Posted on 4/8/21 at 12:37 pm to AUcs13
My bet would be that Pinson chose to go elsewhere if that happens.

quote:Pearl loves Sills. I'd like to complain, but Pearl has a great track record on system players, and rec-league basketball in HS is where I topped out. I didn't even hoop in intramural basketball in college. You could probably do the opposite of what I would recommend as far as basketball is concerned and come out ahead.

This.
We didn't just all of a sudden lose interest in Pinson.

The opposite could be true as well. He had attitude issues at Mizzou, just ask their followers.
