Ok, lets say we can only get 2 of the 3 guards. Which 2?

Scoot Henderson
TyTy Washington
Xavier Pinson

If I’m only looking at next year, I take Scoota and Pinson. I really like Tyty though and don’t think he’s one we would have to worry about replacing.

I'd literally take any 2 of those 3 for next year and be over the moon about it. Gun to my head I'm taking Pinson and Scoota.

Dan McDonald
@RivalsDan
I'm told #Kentucky is firmly in the mix for #UNC transfer Walker Kessler. Auburn, Gonzaga, Michigan and Tennessee are some of the others in the mix for the former 5-star prospect.

I’m going to be pretty salty if Kessler ends up at Kentucky. Will feel like Fields 2.0 where initially finishing second means nothing at all.

Why go play at UK right now? He’s leaving a very UK-like situation

He’s also a guy players can look at and realize there is a path to the pros by staying in school and working your tail off

It’s hard not to like that kid. He is a hustler through and through.

I think he and Cooper get drafted around the same pick unless he rockets up after this tournament, which is distinct possibility. He’ll be a 23 year old rookie. That’s not without precedent but it’s a flag that NBA teams will have. And while Mitchell improved his stock greatly, he had to transfer to get the opportunity to do it.

Not sure that’s a path most kids strive for out of high school but he also wasn’t a 5* kid and he got buried behind a talented backcourt as a freshman. It’s not a bad outcome still, just not sure that example is going to be what makes kids want to stay in college

The point is you can work hard and improve your stock in college. Sophomores and juniors have been leaving for the “draft” in recent years just to get picked in the second round or go Undrafted and eventually flame out. Davion is gonna have a million dollar salary this time next year and has a chance to go lotto despite not being on a draft board ever in his life

I just don’t think his path is going to inspire kids to stick it out in school. Especially at his age and with the transfer. Maybe I’m underestimating these kids now

Regardless, he’s a national champion and a lock 1st rounder so he’s definitely winning all around right now

Wish he hadn't left but Davion is a joy to watch and I'm happy for him. Hats off to that whole Baylor team.

247 is promising some bball recruiting news soon. Rivals is owning them in that department the last few years. Not the biggest Jboy guy but even he comes across more bball news than 247.

Hoping to get some more clarity on Kessler, Pinson, Scoota, and Tyty

Tom Green, Al.com

quote:

The last three high school true point guards signed by Bruce Pearl at Auburn:
— Jared Harper: Led Auburn to its first ever Final Four.
— Davion Mitchell: Led Baylor to national championship. (Soon-to-be first round pick)
— Sharife Cooper: Soon-to-be first-round pick.

I’m sure Pinson, Tyty, and Scoota are paying attention

Davion's ceiling is so much higher.

It’s hard for me to even comment considering one is a veteran and the other is a freshman that’s played half a season. Davion is night and day from where he was as a freshman.

I don’t think Cooper will ever be the complete player Davion is though.

I’m mean it’s just not accurate... Mitchell will be 23 before next season... and his shooting has improved tremendously, but there’s a ceiling to it.

Copper played a handful of games and exceeded what we all thought he would be. His ceiling is considerably higher

Hey guys...

JBoy just projected Kessler to AU with 65% confidence and Hooks has been hinting at big news today...
