Especially when he says 'we' when referring to who will make the decision.
And it has a little tinge of sarcasm read into it, with the "Looking for a program with a winning culture that is going to put ME in the best position to maximize my potential."
Is he implying he didn't get that at AU, or at least not the way he wanted it to be...
And I don't buy that he left bc of competition here or coming in...
