That was some bad bball. I know they'll get better but we need a PG.

Johnson is the only player that seems to want the ball. Powell is a good player and will get better but I'm disappointed in Cambridge as much as he played last year. Turbo is horrible at the point just dribbles outside the 3 point line and then tries under 10 seconds on the shoot clock to create a 3 point shot for himself. Our bigs have ball skills and the ability to score but kick out way to much. My take for what it's worth on tonights game

Yep. We don’t have enough good shooters to have maybe our best shooter running the point. Pleased to see Jamal step up though.

Dude couldn’t even make a layup tonight. If this continues then he needs to back to his role last year.

Stretch especially. He passed up multiple good looks near the basket tonight.

We have got to have some of our slasher stay busy. If johnson is going to be the main jump shooter, Jaylin, Flanigan, and Cambridge have to start driving to the basket with and without the ball. Every pass is contested because guys just standing at the 3 point line. We might have a baseline runner on some possessions but our 2s, 3s, and 4s, have got to get much more active on the offensive end. Johnson is good and all but defense is poor and he's gotten much better on the defensive side this year.

A true PG isn't going to help much unless we are much more active on the offensive side. Looked like the guys are just young and ready to go home and lick their wounds after the Zags tore that arse up. No emotion tonight and even worse shooting. Stretch is trying to be the leader. Not slamming on the guys.

Man I am so down on Cambridge. I don’t see any improvement at all and he just doesn’t work in the increased role as we had hoped. Johnson does look improved but still not a guy that is capable of being relied on this much. Flanigan has to get more consistent and Williams has got to find more ways to be impactful.

Powell definitely a bright spot, especially on a team with not a lot of skill or finesse

Guys just looked like they were thinking too much or unsure of what to do on both ends. We’ve got a few days to work on stuff and then we will be at home finally, and then we get a long break. Hopefully Bruce is able to do his thing in that time and get a lot of things straightened out.

The game is definitely way to fast for some. Seems it would be slower for Flanigan and Cambridge tho. They played a lot last year. We were running some plays and guys coming open but just not pulling the trigger quick enough on passes.

First thing for me as a coach would be for Turbo if you don't pass the ball or drive to the basket before a shot... you are immediately coming out.

I think Cardwell and Powell could make a good 2 man game on high ball screens if the defender goes under take the jumper. If he goes over let Cardwell dive to the basket.

Surprised we haven’t seen any of the pick and pop game with Thor like we did with McLemore.

Same. Would be a good mix with with Thor replacing Cardwell.

It's looking like JJ is going to have to start if his jump shot stays steady.

He and Powell are the only 2 that show consistency on 3 pointers.

We seem to have a lot of basketball 'athletes' at this point and not a lot of 'disciplined basketball players'.

Hopefully they just show improvement enough before SEC play.

Starting is over-rated. Who finishes a game is more important and he deservedly closed out the game. I'm still not sold on him. They went after him 3 or 4 straight possessions down the stretch and scored or got fouled each time. Unfortunately we don't really have a better option. Jones on the ball defense so far has been just as bad and Flanigan has struggled defending 2's. I know we're going to get better but we really needed to add a CG in the off-season. Even with Cooper, who's not a lockdown guy either, we were going to be challenged defending the backcourt. I love Bruce and everything he's done for Auburn but that's a choice I bet he wishes he could have back.

His shot making kept us in the game against UCF. No one else was making any shots, that’s for sure. No one has said he is a great defender but we do need to score.
