Exactly. One can cherry pick which strengths they think are more important. The bottom line is the overall result.

If jewell is consistent with his rankings then i have no problem with it. I prefer independent thought over herd mentality

It isn't like he is the only one. Look at kenpom or massey composite.

The Athletic Bubble Watch
Duke-North Carolina was so ridiculous Saturday that it completely erased Auburn-LSU from our immediate memory, even though we watched all of the latter and only saw bits and pieces of the former. But Auburn’s win was nearly as wild. It certainly featured one of the more conscience-free displays of shot selection in recent memory. The Tigers shot 44 3s in 45 minutes. When they didn’t go in early, the broadcast crew on the game was in absolute fits. (“The Auburn Tigers have gone 3-ball crazy!” was said at one point. It was pretty funny.) Turns out, some of those shots started falling, Auburn ended the game with 18 made 3s, and it needed every last one of them.
Anyway: The Tigers are a lock. This team does not have the most impressive slate of Quadrant 1 wins you’ll ever see, and it has been the luckiest team in all of Division I, per KenPom’s luck ranks. But at 21-2, the Tigers are officially past the point where any of that — at least when it comes to getting in the field — is going to matter.

That would be amazing
I would relish the Twitter trolling of Illinois fans if we were to curb stomp them.

Google the Deon Thomas incident. Illinois fans would celebrate a Bruce Pearl funeral.

He was an assistant at Iowa when he was felt they lost Deon Thomas due to a $$$ bid and recorded Illinois coach convo with him.
They more than hold a grudge.

Omoruyi will start doing his spring OVs on Feb 19th. He already had the Auburn OV in the fall. After he completes his OVs to Arizona State, Rutgers, Uconn, and Kentucky, he might schedule an UV to Auburn.
We really need him to visit again, just so our environment can stay fresh in his thoughts imo.

I think Pearl recorded his convo with Thomas where he tried to get him to admit to getting paid by Illinois.
Regardless... it happens decades ago... but coaches and fans have loooong memories.

That is right. He was basically exiled from D1 for trying to expose cheating. That is why he was coaching D2 for so long.

I'm sure this will rub some people the wrong way but I don't really like the orange uniforms. They are okay on the road I guess, although I like the blues. I really love the home whites the most.
