From John Rothstein...

Bruce Pearl tells me that he feels Auburn isn't anticipating anything new with the NCAA and does feel "that the worst is behind them".

BTW, this isn't surprising news to me.

Same. Worst case, we forfeit like 7 SEC wins from 2017. I've been saying this for a year.

Whoa. Pearl said we already took a lot of penalties that aren't yet made public...

“We took some real strong penalties, a lot of which have never been made public and at some point will be.

“When our players’ eligibility was in question, we sat them until we could get their eligibility cleared. That was not the way everybody did it.”

I’d rather not have wins vacated from our regular season championship season. Hopefully not. Doesn’t appear we have lost scholarships yet.

Why would we have to vacate from the SEC championship season? Purifoy and Wiley were sitting out. It would be from the season before.

Well good. As long as the two most recent seasons stay unscathed.

Yup! If Stretch enrolls we will be at full 13 schollied man roster. It's been a rarity for us to do that without using 1 or 2 for walk ons.

Yep!
Looks like we offered a 3* SG from Arkansas to move past Boston. Detrick Reeves Jr.

All these SG offers are strange to me. One would think if Jayden Stone was the guy we'd take him & stop offering other new recruits. Not questioning the staff at all. Just curious where they are going here.

I don't think they believe he is athletic enough to play any type of defense at this level.

I hope that's the case. He's the big 2020 prospect I'm least excited about. Supposedly he also wants to play pg.

Did you also notice this statement in the same article...

' An Auburn spokesman said he didn’t know what Pearl was referring to regarding those sanctions.'

there were a lot of confusing statements, even some from Pearl. It seemed like he couldn't say what the specifics were, so he gave vague references about future dealings w/ the NCAA.

I didn't know how to react to the whole article TBH...
