Shariffe doesn’t have his dates together but he said he’s OVing Kentucky soon. Also maintains his recruitment is still wide open and staying in 2020 class.

I want him more than I've ever wanted a recruit in any sport.

Ringer's NBA podcast The Mismatch said that Okeke is a lotto talent whose injury is only reason he is a fringe RD1

Wish my Spurs would pick him and have Pop coach him up like he did with Kawhi. I know the system is pretty much the opposite of Pearl's, but I still think Okeke could fit in well, he's kind of like a more talented/ more athletic Rudy Gay

I want him on the Hawks, but he'd be a perfect for the Warriors.

True, but frick the Warriors.
It would be cool to see him play with Trae Young and John Collins in that Hawks system

Every Mock Draft I've seen has him going in the 1st. I've seen for 22 - 30

Does anyone have any guesses as to the schedule for Chuma's return to the court?

The NBA season begins in October, but I don't think Chuma will be ready to play until early 2020. Do you think he plays all of the upcoming season in the D-league as a type of rehab for him?

I've heard February for Chuma, but probably depends on what franchise he is with. Certain teams would be more cautious than that and maybe even hold him out the full year.

Does Chuma go in round 1 tonight?

I don’t know the teams and the draft well enough but I’d guess Chuma might go to a team this year that doesn’t have a great draft outlook next year due to traded picks or it being a late round selection.

I hope so, but I am skeptical based on his injury / recovery.

Porter Jr went #14 despite playing a handful of college games and a major back surgery.

I read some projections today from SI that have him going to the Hawks with the 35th pick in the draft.

Draft projections I saw:

quote:

With the draft a day away, here’s a final look at where Okeke is projected to be selected (Brown and Harper were not projected in any of the below mock drafts):

-- Atlanta Hawks, second round, fifth pick; 35th overall (The Athletic)

-- New Orleans Pelicans, second round, ninth pick; 39th overall (The Ringer)

-- Philadelphia 76ers (via Chicago Bulls), second round, fourth pick; 34th overall (Sports Illustrated)

-- Golden State Warriors, first round; 28th overall pick (Bleacher Report)

-- Atlanta Hawks, second round, fifth pick; 35th overall (Net Scouts Basketball)

-- New Orleans Pelicans, second round, ninth pick; 39th overall (CBS Sports)

-- New Orleans Pelicans, second round, 27th pick; 57th overall (Basketball Insiders)

-- Brooklyn Nets, first round, 27th overall pick (NBADraft.net)

-- Minnesota Timberwolves (via trade), first round, 23rd overall pick (SB Nation)

With GS injury issues, I don't see them taking a guy injured in the first round. That will be three players (depending on what KD does) on the payroll who are not helping the team one bit.

KD is as good as gone. They'll need a 3 to replace him, but they still have enough talent to be in playoff position while they wait. Chuma is the best long term value they'll get at their spot
