Sharpshooting white kid to go along with some 5* superstars sounds like a recipe for a Natty to me

If he had an average length neck he would probably only by 6’ 2”

A buddy of mine from the bunker told me that some think he may get bumped to a 4* if not a 5*

From Hooks:
Very next day:

AU is in a position that we will be forcing some 5 star kids to either commit when we want them to or they will be left out. We have that many options.

Powell is far from a 3*. He missed all of last season when he transferred HS, but like I said a few pages back he went off at the Nike event with the most elite players in the country.
Cooper + Powell is a really nice start to this class. Brown or Kessler would truly make it elite.

Normally I laugh at the "he probably is a 4* talent" talk but this actually has some strong arguments
Powell was a 4* in the 50-100 range until he transferred back home and sat out a year. His drop wasnt due to poor play but lack of it
A 6'5 guy with PG experience + great shooting sounds like at minimum a solid recruit

I've heard similar about this kid. He's a steal

I like the kid a lot 3* or not I just found the timing funny after Hooks comments yesterday. Glad to have Powell

Hooks also said Powell and Kessler are friends so this could help with him.

The photoshop he used in his commitment tweet is the funniest thing I’ve seen all week.

When it comes to white shooting guards, stars mean nothing. We all know this.

What was said that made this funny?

Apparently, quite good friends. If he can actually help with Kessler then he may be the most important recruit in the class. Though I still think Cooper is behind the scenes recruiting his arse off for us. Especially with Ira being reinstated and getting a vote of confidence from AU.
