If you know our compliance department, then you know we are good to go on the whole Person thing. I’m shocked folks are still worried about it.

The NCAA investigated it.

The NCAA rulings were only on Purifoy/Wiley reinstatement hearings and what Auburn self reported from internal investigations.

So if tomorrow Chuck were to pull up verified bank transfers of paying AU recruits or other players that AU/NCAA didn't previously uncover/know about, we'd be in trouble again.

Would our compliance not step in if there was a possible issue?

And do what exactly? Compliance has no control over Chuck Person, former employee, and what he decides to publicly share.

They can't change the past. We can only hope that they conducted a thorough investigation and the NCAA already accepted Auburn's self imposed sanctions that were the result.

are worried about things that have already been checked out.Auburn has not been mentioned one time.

Ya, we seem to be in great position to whether the storm given how dire it seemed day 1

That said, if Auburn has skeletons that could hurt us, Chuck Person likely knows where they are buried. So the fact that he is going to trial is something to be nervous about

You mean the data source? Or how I put the 'reporting' together?

Nevermind. Sounds a lot more difficult than I thought it would be.

What is your definition of difficult? Assuming right now you know nothing

-3-4 Hrs: Learn basic SQL skillset on KhanAcademy

-1 Hr: Manually input Auburn game data into SQL database

-30 seconds: Write SQL code to generate statistic you want

From that, you just built a basic skillset foundation that has real value in business

Weirdly enough I’d rather play SCAR (than the winner of UGA/MO). But I’d guess MO since UGA seemed to figure us out two weeks ago in the second half

Haven’t touched SQL since I had to use Oracle and Access a bunch at an old internship. Not the most fun thing in the world but really efficient way to get good data.

The finance world is going to be moving on from Excel

Learning how relational databases or other programming works will be important

well in my experience Excel even without plots or tables crashes readily with larger datasets so that’s no surprise

Matlab is my go-to for larger data analysis for the kind of stuff in my field but anyone who works quality loves what Oracle brings to the table so SQL is definitely an in demand skill

Mizzou is not quite the same team they were the last time we played them, but of course we aren't either. I think we win, but it won't be a 40 point or whatever drubbing like the last rodeo. Little worried about tempo

Used to work at Oracle. Quality product, awful organization. I love a lot of opensource projects in the data space. Elasticsearch is a great data analytics tool.

CRIMINAL CASE: You can always play the what if something happens (Person changes his story), but the fact is that Chuck will plead not guilty and has a chance to win. If he turns on Auburn, he would hurt his case, because remember Auburn is the victim. There are no phone records showing Bruce ever communicated with agents, etc.

NCAA: The NCAA problem is that what Chuck did (Coach giving Money to players) is against NCAA rules. Not sure of the exact timeline, but we could have some (IMHO minor) NCAA problems for the 2016/2017 season. The key is that we did not pay recruits to come to Auburn (See every other school mentioned), but to leave.

Mizzou is also playing about 4 hours earlier than they did yesterday so hopefully they’ll be tired too.

So they had one of the faster paced games of the season and both Geist/Watson played 36 minutes.

That said they run one of the deeper bench rotations in the country at #53 for Bench Minutes (36.2%).
