Sorry to give bad news, But Cam will never come back to Auburn, he hates us and will write a book that will bring us down.

This was posted on AUF. Doesn't exactly give me the warm and fuzzies.

I watched practice from beginning to end today. Here are some observations:

The little known facts: The green jerseys just indicate scout players or to detail certain positions during drills. It does not indicate injury status. Indoor and outdoor practice is to keep things moving, space position players out, and to keep knees healthy (indoor turf is awesome).

The good: Justin Garrett was everywhere during the soft scrimmage. CAP and Grant looked very good running the ball. Uzomah and Prosch are every bit as good as advertised. D players appear to know where they are supposed to line up and seem to be a more cohesive unit. OLine looks good as 1st stringers.

The bad: Still no real QBs yet in my opinion. Get the feeling from talking to folks that Marshall is the man. WRs are thin and could be a real struggle. I saw Melvin Ray (who tends to drop some) than everybody else. Bray, Denson, Coates, Reed have to step up.

The ugly: Sluggish practice and Gus said so. Also said that "both of the QBs played lousy and have to protect the football. Both of you!" Oops guess those other two guys are already out. DLine could still be a struggle and for the life of me can't figure out why CBs can't look around for the ball.

About what I expected at this point. It will take so e time to fix problems that the previous staff helped create.

I've heard the CB's have been playing better though, so maybe they just had a bad day.

It doesn't make me feel good either, but it also doesn't make me feel any worse. That's pretty consistent with what we've been hearing for the past week.

I trust that Gus can do enough to get the offense rolling, especially with the read option ability that Marshall will bring to the table. Of course, that relies on our OL blocking well, but that shouldn't be much of a problem.

Defense on the other hand is pretty worrisome. Very little proven ability on that side of the ball. We're going to have a rough start to the year if our secondary doesn't pull their heads out of their asses and learn to cover a receiver properly.

I spoke with one of the coaches on the sideline during skill drills. He said that he expected Sammy Coates to be, and I quote, "a star wide-receiver in the SEC". And, Sammy did't drop any passes while I was watching.

Uzomah made a GREAT catch on a deep pass from Frazier down the sideline. He was covered well--he just made a remarkable catch.

My feelings are that Kris Frost will be one of the starters at linebacker. He was very vocal with the 1s on defense and seemed to have more than a solid grasp on the defense-which really makes me question the previous years' defensive scheme.

Mckinzy getting beat out is crazy. Also Therezie being 3rd string CB and having to be moved to Star just so he can see the field. I'm surprised we haven't heard anything from TJ Davis. He has great size and was one of the best db's in FL. Chizik and company really put a hurting on the development of some of these guys.

Strange that Therezie was moved to Star today after all the great talk of Garrett.

They're probably just moving guys around to see if one positions fits better than another. Mitchell is also "dinged up" right now, so they need to have someone else at Star for the time being. We definitely need a third guy they can put in at Star if Garret or King, or whoever the 2 deep is gets hurt.

Mitchell could be at 235 or so by the time next year rolls around. He's still a RFr that hasn't spent much time in a college weight program, so LB isn't totally out of the question for him.

We're only halfway through spring. They've still got a ways to go until kickoff. Better to try out guys at new spots now than wait until two weeks before the season starts.

I don't understand the deal with Therezie myself. The dude has elite athleticism and speed.

From what I am hearing, Jake just is grasping the defense better and he gets more shite than he deserves (deserves shite just not to the level we give it)

Cass was described as not being very bright and that is holding him back. He is expected to pick things up.

Dont forget that Kenny Flowers isn't on campus yet but athletically he is superior to Holland and should compete coming from JUCO

CJ Uzomah has been freakish from what I heard. Really excited about him

Justin Garrett is stoked and working his arse off as this is his second chance. Him and Frost had horrible relationships with Tommy Thigpen and JG wasn't even on the travel squad for some games and was put on scout team defense. For a non freshman scholarship player that seems like a frick you

Frazier had more reps than JWall today but who knows  Been alternating and no one has impressed

Just a way different attitude and atmosphere.

Players have to have their helmets strapped on at all times and always be running

Mitchell probably won't be able to hold more than 225 with his frame and keep his speed.

I dont understand why they would try him at safety?? That was the position most of the recruiting sites had him rated, and it would seem to be a slightly smoother transition from playing CB to S vs. moving from CB to 'Star'

Greg Robinson is starting to pick it up it seems like so I am alright with at least one Bayou player on the team

I think the fact Quan Bray has been a go to for the past two staffs has hurt TReed's ability to shine. Also the fac tthat he lifted maybe a 2 pound dumbell once before showing up.

Can't get his head right. Pressure gets to him. We've got a couple of the right now (ie. Frazier).

Melvin Ray is a very impressive and well spoken guy. I really hope he can contribute this year for us
