I don't want to rustle any jimmies, but I heard that he won't be the guy in the fall. It was 2nd had info from a decent sauce. I guess Ashford could always turn it on and change some minds, but right now, he's not the plan.

We'll know for sure if he does or doesn't transfer after spring.

In some not QB related news I was told “Rivaldo Fairweather is the most gifted TE Auburn has ever had.”

We've had one or two good ones. Guessing CJ was the best based off his NFL career and not stats?

It’s hard not to get excited thinking about having him, Brown, and Mardner on the field together. That’s some big bodies to defend. And King, if he can get it together.

Who is your sauce saying?

My sauce was speaking to someone in the program. Was vague on who the guy might be, but seemed to indicate that Ashford wouldn't be QB1. This was weeks ago, so I'd imagine things could change with spring and fall practice. Ashford has his work cutout for him, on the field and between the ears, if he's going to be the guy. If he is the guy, I think it's a plan B type situation.

Vague sauces are weak sauces. My sauces are definitive and extra spicy.

This should be known by every Auburn fan

I just don't see Ashford starting. His mental game needs more work than his skills.

Either Holden has what it takes, or we will see a portal QB after the Spring and before fall camp, and could be both. I just don't see Ashford making up that much ground and I like the kid. I know it's not going to be Finley.

Holden or Portal QB and my hedge is on the portal.

My sauce isn't an Auburn fan, so when I asked about Holden being the guy, he couldn't give me the definitive answer. I didn't expect him to know our QB depth chart. But he was sure about the Ashford stuff.

Holden‘s arm strength looks bad in these practice videos, and he’s no more accurate. I guess he could show out in the upcoming scrimmages, but him running consistently with the backup and walkon WRs is usually a sign of him being 3rd string again.

You're really stuck on his arm strength aren't you? It is really weird, tbh.

Which is ironically down on Hugh's list of what he looks for in a QB.

That’s why I said my bet is on a portal QB being the option.

Arm strength is kinda important. I mean, Chris Todd was ok if that’s what you want.

Any word on “Heisman” Hank Brown?

Could be our first 3 time Heisman winner?

I'm not arguing otherwise. I'm specifically commenting on your obsession with your perception of his specifically and how much you've convinced yourself of this from the absolute smallest sample size possible. You've made sure to make a point of this every time you've discussed him, since last year. If you think Holden and Todd's arm strength are anywhere comparable, that is just laughable.

I don’t remember ever posting questioning Holden’s arm strength. Feel free to link it though.

I mean, video doesn’t lie. He didn’t have much zip on the ball at all in the ones posted yesterday. Not sure if he’s hurt or what.

I know no one wants to hear this but Finley was with the ones yesterday in practice and according to people there was by far the most accurate in the viewing window
