I heard Calzada looked comfortable, and was just slinging it.

Caleb Wooden had a scoop and score. Shed Jackson had a good first day. Derick Hall, Leota, Cam Riley, Jeremiah Wright, Nehemiah Pritchett, all mentioned by name by Bryan Harsin as good first day of spring ball.

quote:

Harsin on new DC Jeff Schmedding: “He’s very detailed, he’s a great communicator — he sees things on the field that he can correct immediately. The way he operates, if there’s something we’re not doing well, he’ll change it. He always searching for something to get better at."

quote:

Harsin on new OC Eric Kiesau: “He understands what we want to do offensively. He’s very low ego, high output.”

Mentions Kiesau is very detailed, does a great job of planning…He’s easy to work with and has a high standard."

quote:

What did Bryan Harsin’s first year teach him?

“Finish strong. If you’re going to make a run, you have to finish. At the same time, through the season, there were plenty of things that were self inflicted. We can coach it better. This league, you have to be ready to play."

quote:

Bryan Harsin, looking back after asked what he’s learned: “I’ll go back to last year and the Iron Bowl — that right there, we were very proud of how the team came out and competed. We have to take what we learned and apply it moving forward.”

quote:

Bryan Harsin on Auburn’s first day of his second spring camp: “What I saw today, that was not your typical spring practice. Guys were out there working. That energy was brought by the players."

Anyone know if we plan on going live with the QBs? Seems like with Ashford and Davis we would need to go live to get a full idea of what the bring to the table.

Caleb Wooden had a scoop and score and an INT.. who is turning the ball over already?

A lot of people gained a lot of weight in the off season. Going to be interesting to see how that works out.

Zion Puckett must be playing LB now. No way he can play safety at over 220. He already wasn't especially fast or great in coverage.. no way he would be able to cover after gaining 20 lbs.

Seeing Harris, Leota, and Walker all put on 15+ lbs tells me to expect a heavy dose of the 3-4 defense again this year.

I wonder who all the coup-loving anti-Harsin fans are cheering for this year?

UGA? They seem to have things rolling.

Bama? Easy choice, and the most likely for these people?

A&M? Seems like they have the momentum.

Hopefully we upgrade in the speed department. One thing our pro day and combine stuff has shown, we did not have nearly the speed we thought we did on defense.
