I worry about our secondary getting repeatedly burned all night.

i don't think that's really leach's style, and I don't think WSU has the WR to burn us deep. They've got a solid group, but no real burners... I could see them dink-and-dunk the sh*t out of us and put together long, frustrating drives.

My biggest concern is getting off the field on 3rd down... Vandy couldn't do it in the 2nd half last night and it killed them.

I would not make that correlation given those 2 Ds are average on their own anyway.

So we should be really worried? I'm not sure I'd even consider our defensive performance as average over the last couple years at 400+ yards & 28 points a game.

I'm not just talking about the deep ball, I'm also referring to running around wide open in space. You know, like the last few years.

Well, now that you said it, I'm worried about this as well. Thanks for stressing me out.

Jake gon be OK. I worry more about our DLine getting pressure...

Who would have thought Sanders and Owens being 1st string a few months back?

Good!

I am right at 200-201...trying to get to 190. started at 217.

Figured if I ran tomorrow morning, I can justify the obscene amount of beer adn bourbon I will be consuming later in the day.

You keep making these posts, just tempting me to renege on my 2 week commitment.

My point was the affects on D prep by fast spread Os is not conclusive til we see how it affects good defensive teams. Teams will give up more overall yards because teams will run more plays. The stats I want to follow are yards per play, especially yards per rush, and 3rd down conversion rate. If those stats don't go up then it won't have much affect.

The power of positive thinking brah. Jake gon be alright. He wont be all american but workable.

If he does well, I will be expecting a few apologies

If he sucks arse, like usual, I will be at yalls mercy.

I have a bigger concern about our pass rush. We must get to that bastard tomorrow and not let him feel comfortable.

I have a similar plan. I am resting today. Been at it pretty hard all week. I will do weight training in the morning then a 4 mile run before I head to Auburn...

Then Bar-B-Que and beer all day.

Not nervous at all, just ready for the game. I truly am just waiting to see what we look like and hope for the best. I am expecting errors and sputtering, but hoping to see some continuity as the game progresses. I will be keying on the front 6 of the D and the WR's.

The OM/Vandy game was a blast and loved the competition. They both played hard, and despite some sloppy play it was very entertaining. It got me stoked for tomorrow.

After watching some college football, defense is over-rated, pace and the HUNH works...

I agree. I also think the schedule sets up so much better for us. If we can play well tomorrow and win, getting Arkansas State second will be a good week to iron out the wrinkles before we head into SEC play. We did not get thrown to the wolves like last year.
