Sick of meh hires for the football program

5-19 Chizik hired because he was a former DC at Auburn and was friends of the PTB, then high school Gus which was a former OC at Auburn. I really thought after these bad hires that Auburn was going to finally step up and make a big time splash hire but it looks like the selfish PTB want some control and access to the program. We as a fan base have the power to change this, you get to them financially by stop attending games and stop buying merchandise. Sure it will hurt football for the short term but this needs to happen to get to where the football program needs to be LONG TERM. The good ole boy network at Auburn needs to be broken up!!!!

If they pull the same good ole boy hire this time I’m out, I will watch other sport especially basketball. The Bruce Pearl hire is a prime example of thinking outside of the box and not a good ole boy hire and we all know how that’s worked out. I think the reason that hire was made is because the PTB is not interested in meddling in basketball.

Honest question. Who do you think they should go after that they realistically could get?

If Saban couldn't get Freeze for staff last year, making him a HC year later would be asking for the NCAA to set up a field office on the plains.
