Well, Auburn has responded positively to him and he's getting the men's only basketball facility he's been asking for for years.

Bruce isn’t Malzahn.

He’s shown his ability to build the Auburn program into a powerhouse and sustain a high level of success plus completely change the culture around BBall at Auburn.

PAY HIM.

Sounds like we are giving him the bball only building. Just pay the man. Maybe set some NIL deals to make staying at Auburn more attractive to his players than bolting for the G league. So he's not rebuilding his roster every year.

Talk about a lack of awareness about the difference here.

I think this season alone makes the G League look like a very poor decision for upcoming athletes

if you are recruiting the best players, you are getting those players for 1 to two years. You also have to supplement the roster with transfers that you have for 1 to 2 years. Rebuilding the roster annually is going to be the norm in college basketball.

Hokanson is reporting Louisville has reached out to Bruce on On3, think this guy would know anything?

It's going to be the same with football as well. Roster management will be the key words we will hear annually.

I am sure they have. If I was looking for a bball coach, I would reach out also. I would make him tell me no several times too.

The thing is, he likely won’t say no to Louisville unless Auburn gives him more. He deserves more money, better facilities, etc

Auburn can’t drop the ball here. If they do, frick this administration.

I saw somewhere that Auburn is already negotiating with him for the future. I am sure our PTB will do everything they can to keep him.

We need to get used to this. Pearl's name will be mentioned for every major opening available.

JGT wrote an article regarding Auburn’s commitment to Bruce. Some highlighted points here:

The department next week will seek formal approval to move forward with plans to expand/augment the basketball facility so that men's and women's basketball each will have their own space.

• “Auburn's financial situation is much stronger than it was 18 months ago. We're told fundraising for the football facility, which is approximately half-way finished, really picked up and will not be a limiting factor from a financial standpoint.” “…several donors have approached Allen Greene and the department at large to pledge money for this new/augmented basketball practice space.“ -

“We're told that Auburn is prepared to offer Pearl both a raise and extension at season's end, which we expect to be worth somewhere between $5 million and $6 million per season.”

-“For once, the athletic department is united on something: Auburn must do what's necessary to keep Pearl on campus and building Auburn into a consistent national power.”

This sounds like somebody that didn't care about basketball before the '17 season. Or still doesn't. Considering the national product right now, I don't care if we're ever good in football again. Botch up Pearl's future here and watch Auburn athletics burn to the ground.

Pay him 10 mill a year and whatever else he wants. I’ll throw in a kidney.

I mean hell, Malzahn's name came up for several Mike Sexton jobs, anyone thinking Bruce's name won't come up with the success he is having should take a break from sports.

It's safe to assume that his name is going to be brought up for every major opening. The guy started with a school where BBall is an afterthought, and in a few years took us to the final four and now has us ranked number 1. Bball is now hugely popular at Auburn.

I never thought I'd be tuning into basketball games or checking our recruiting, but here I am. Guys that can change a program like that are rare.

If true I think it would be to hold AU's feet to the fire. Louisville doesn't have a President or an AD and are hemmoraging money. So any coach that takes a job there wouldn't know his boss, or his bosses' boss. From my own professional experience I wouldn't touch that with a 10-foot pole. Who is running the search on the University's side, a Provost?

Hasn't he been let go from most of the recruiting network sites, before popping up at whatever the newest one is?
