If we don't win today we won't get in. I'm certain of that, Lunardi be damned. He's just one of many bracketologists, and most of them don't have us in btw.

There will be a couple of bid thieves. Miami (OH) has been flirting with a loss for weeks now.

If we beat Ole Miss at home or MSU on the road we aren't having this convo today

Yup… or had we not played AZ in Tucson and just won some meaningless game… oh well.

This team didn’t deserve it… they are depressing to watch try to guard.

We did this to ourselves. But the problem is two fold.
1. The numbers: in the wins above bubble index, there is a sharp drop off from Texas to Auburn.
quote:

42 VCU Atlantic 10 1.06
43 NC State ACC 0.84
44 Texas SEC 0.73
45 Auburn SEC 0.39
46 SMU ACC 0.35
47 Indiana Big Ten 0.17
48 Oklahoma St. Big 12 0.01
49 California ACC -0.05
50 New Mexico Mountain West -0.36

2. The dilemma of who do you put in over Auburn? The other bubble teams keep losing to worse teams.

There has never been a team as bad as Auburn make the NCAA tourney. BUT, whoever you choose over us has even worse metrics than Auburn making them the worst team to make the NCAA tourney.

The selection committee is rooting for bid stealers in the small conference tourneys to keep this mess off their plate on Sunday.

We do kinda suck but I don't think this is true. Unless you just mean worst record because at 17-16 it would be the worst record for an at-large bid

More than likely that's what he means

Vols are the number one offensive rebound team in the country, and by quite a large margin.

Man they punished us on the glass last game too. And that was when we were playing well. We had no answer.

We're potentially the worst team to make the tournament, except for all the other teams worse than us that could make it in over us

I get what you're saying though. It is a weird thought experiment with our schedule. With it being so absurdly difficult, is that helping us right now more than if it was easier and we had maybe 3-4 more wins instead?

He’ll be seriously minutes limited I’d think though.

...aaaannnnddd there's our first bid thief.

Miami (OH) goes down.

They shouldn't be in the tourney but feels like a foregone conclusion that they are.

Yep.

Hope we just beat the Vols and end all doubt.

Beat the Vols and the reward may very well be playing against Miami (OH) in Dayton
