The call should have either been fumble or complete pass and ground caused fumble (would have been bad too as it moved before going down) but it was a completed catch.

“Clear and obvious” takes 10 minutes to see?

I really like where they say that the final score was 27-14 OU so it would not look like that play effected the outcome. Lying bastards

A lot of uncalled Oklahoma holding.

It is frustrating as hell. They call targeting that never happened and don't call most of the holding and pass interference that does

Can games be played under protest anymore?

I think if I were Freeze I would have had to have filed a protest after the OU cheat TD. I know there is a 99.9% chance the SEC office would have overturned the protest but still...go on record with it. And hey, maybe you have that 1 in 100 shot it works.

I’d prefer a statement on the fumble overturn.

I don't have a link, but one show or another I was watching said the SEC office said that was a proper call by the replay official............which is bullshite.

I’d prefer a statement on the fumble overturn. He took more steps with the ball than the later incomplete pass that they ruled complete for OU.

This^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

OU WR clearly had the ball secured in both hands held in front of him for 3 full steps, then when he went to tuck it, our defender knocked it loose and his was actually the only hand on the ball when they started down to the ground.

Stole 7 points and the momentum from us right off the bat, and OU ended up getting a FG out of that drive.

The other overturned call was just as bad. The OU WR never had control of the ball until his arse was sliding 3 feet out of bounds on the sideline.

Huge play to keep their game winning drive going and set them up in our RZ.

The replay official was as bad or worse than the clowns on the field.

I'm more interested in the punishment. They said appropriate action will be taken. What tf does that mean? Are they going to punish the refs for not calling it, or Oklahoma for running it?

My guess is neither, but we'll see.

The fumble for six was a fumble as well. I heard the commentators saying they were looking to see if he was down.....that would not matter, if it was not in his grasp it doesnt matter if he is down or not its a live ball.

Thats why they said it was an incomplete pass.....after taking two steps with the ball in his grasp before the Auburn player stripped it. Nonsense.

The SEC knows it was the wrong crew on the wrong weekend.

The crazy thing is there weren’t that many other big matchups this weekend.

Yet another issue with media bias is people in the media were predicting this game to be a blowout. May have led to us getting the B team of officials.

I just saw this is the same crew for LSU-SC last year. If true, the SEC is in on it.

Simply put….the zebras had a bad game. That herd needs to rest a week or two. And the sorry part? The SEC knows it was the wrong crew on the wrong weekend.
NO

These guys publicly committed a multi-million dollar theft in the form of a conspiracy. This was an old fashioned robbery, a pure and simple theft, and everyone knows that stealing the win was their nefarious goal. A lot of money changed hands yesterday and it was not the first time for this crew.

Not only do they need to be forever done, as in put out to pasture, they should not be allowed to step foot on any NCAA field (or facility) while awaiting potential criminal prosecution. The win should be invalidated and the loss removed pending independent third party review. This isn't grade school shenanigans, nor some mister-meander deed, but a major league disgrace and lifetime wrong. Pete Rose lost near everything for simply betting on his team to win. Lives were forever changed yesterday, morals were put on hold, and the dollar figure will never be known.

This crew of thieves took away the once in a lifetime win that Jackson Arnold had worked all year. Their concerted actions took real money in the form of NIL from one team of players and gifted the other players with untold unearned NIL money. As they handed their chosen Heisman hopeful and favored school an undeserved win. And if allowed to stand they will have taught children everywhere that the ends justifies the means.

And Brent Venbales should miss multiple games as he proudly stated on air that the unsportsmanlike play was his design. And since it resulted in the loss of so much money he should be slapped with a very-very steep fine. As this wrong had to have been practiced and taught as something acceptable.

There were simply too many irregularities to allow the NCAA and SEC to play head-in-the sand ostrich. And Auburn has years of track record to show due cause against this crew.

This crew as a whole was out of position constantly. They got caught flat footed on the first fumble returned for a TD….and never recovered. The speed of this game was beyond their capability. They didn’t adjust as needed. The most obvious was the PI on Coleman at the goal line. When the interference occurred, the back judge’s back was turned while attempting to get out of the way. He has no business being there,

They did cover the obvious Offense PI’s.

There was a lot of uncalled Oklahoma holding. Auburn the same.

This crew was simply out of position most of the day.

I told Terry Bowden what to look for after church one morning, and the key to the mistake made on a batted backward pass, returned by Auburn for a TD that was back. Against Florida. That entire crew froze in their tracks.

Several members of that crew will be suspended for a few weeks.

There are actually three teams on the field each game. The worst wore stripes. Part of their mistakes were covered up in Birmingham.

On the sideline issue. The official is supposed to be off the field. I thought the end got to the top of the sideline yard marker. The four two yard stripes between the fives. He was leaving with a group of replacements. I drop the flag if he touches the top of those lines, then turns back to stay on the field. We usually use the bigger sideline numbers as our guide. If the receiver goes to that number we give him a pass as being on the field. You can always drop a flag, then pick it back up.

Don’t know the experience or age of this crew. But when ranked teams play, the SEC owes it to the Conference and NCAA to put the best crew on the field.

Too many missed calls because this crew was not ready.

We officiated a Doug Flutie Flag Football game the day before the Super Bowl. Flutie’s son has autism. All players were NFL players and retired players. Our Back Judge was a female official, that stated the players were no bigger than the high school teams we saw. I explained. More muscle, faster as a whole and far more talented. They see the lanes before the public. Move back ten yards and start every play by dropping back. Flutie hit a receiver in the lane that went 60 yards for a TD. Sharon covered it with ease, but her eyes were as big as saucers. At halftime, she commented “I had no idea they were that fast.” Told her “think about it……they’re playing on sand. They walk on water,”

Simply put….the zebras had a bad game. That herd needs to rest a week or two. And the sorry part? The SEC knows it was the wrong crew on the wrong weekend.

Thanks for the post Blue

Rumor is this was the same crew that botched the Bo Nix backwards snap. Ranked teams deserving the best officiating is something I've never considered. I suppose this practice is not acknowledged, but exists.
