Personally, if I was in a position to donate/name buildings, I would name them after notable alumni, professors, Auburn staff/admin, or someone who had a major positive influence in the actual town of Auburn.
Spot on.

We will be anxiously awaiting your donation and naming choice.

My ego is not big enough to want my name on a basketball arena that I never coached or played in. But to each his own.

frick that shite. It’s Auburn arena forever. I’m so sick of our board of trustees.

Okay? What does that have to do with my post?

Pretty ironic from a kid trying to score e-points from Auburn's rival fans on SECR by trashing "your" school at every possible opportunity.

Calm down Neville.

It is really weird the name Neville bothers you so much.

I have zero problem naming the Arena after the Neville’s who gave the single largest donation in history of Auburn.
And to me Pearl’s home is on the court. Name it Pearl’s Court sometime would be the best show of respect and for his accomplishments.
For all of us including to see it on the court every game is much more rememorable than seeing it on the outside of the building.

It’s fine. Honestly surprised it took this long for some big cock alumna to throw dollars at it. At least it’s not a corporation name.

I would have named it Autigers21 Arena.

It’s really not fine. It sets the tone that if you’re rich, you can rename entire facilities that thousands of fans gather…. And oh by the way, that those fans have paid millions in ticket sales dollars.
Rename a fricking locker room or street, but not a sports venue. And y’all wonder why the rich keep getting more rich and powerful.
If the next guy donates an extra million more than Neville, do they rename it to him since he’s the highest bidder?

I want corporate $ for facilities. Donors are probably better at throwing $ at NIL deals

By the way, the guy they’re naming it after never graduated from Auburn

Bill earned his undergraduate degree from Rice University in mathematics, computer science and mathematical sciences, and his MBA from Columbia University.
