Posted in other thread, Lebby apparently signed 2 year extension according to rando on coaching changes board.

Ole Miss football Twitter account tweeted it, so I think that’s a done deal unfortunately

I'm sure his name has probably already been mentioned but I think Jim Leavett would be a good choice as Def Cord

No.. that would be going backwards on a good solid staff.
Leavett even is older than Steele, and I was not impressed with some of his latest Ds.

Jim Leavitt's name has popped up for like the last 6 DC searches LMAO. I fail to see what the intrigue is other than that he was a hot name like 10-15 years ago.
We're not hiring Jim Leavitt.

I see some liking the idea of Levitt. I don't think he would be that great. He is at FAU now for a reason. If he was that good, he would have a better position. Need fresher ideas.

Because he's a Florida hardass who's been let go from 3 straight jobs and likes to hit players in the locker room (ALLEGEDLY)

Spencer Danielson to be hired as part of Harsin's staff at Auburn. He was co-DC and DL coach at Boise State.

It appears he is a recruiting guy.

There are some posters who are concerned he is bringing too many Boise staff over...
Wonder if Danielson will be a DL coach or again more administrative...

A recruiting coordinator, S&C coach, and this coach with which we have no idea what he will be doing.
So many

Hopefully he is the DL coach and not DC. Though I'd be fine with giving him a title of CO-DC.
I would like Harsin to hire some veteran coaches at OC and DC, preferably outside the Boise circle. But that's just me. I am behind him and will give him a chance no matter who he hires. The man isn't stupid, he knows what he's walking into in the SEC. If he feels familiar coaches give him the best chance, then so be it.
Danielson is young, don't believe he is even 30 yet. This might be a smart move overall. Danielson is just beginning his coaching career, so he knows this could be do or die on his resume. In a way that's better than some SEC retread who has nothing to lose if he fails.

Danielson is currently Boise's interim HC.
He was their Co-DC / DL coach.
Gotta think he will be an on-field coach, possibly even our new DC since we don't have one hired yet.
I wouldn't think that Harsin would hire a defensive position coach before he hires a DC.

He won't be the DC, but the fact that he's being brought over strongly implies that Harsin sees this kid as a "rising star". He is very young and has flown through the ranks in that program very quickly. As mentioned, he is actually the interim HC right now.

I’m fine with the off the field/admin staff. After reading up on Pittman and looking through his videos, he’s doing a
Lot of the same stuff that high schools in the southeast are doing, definitely a step back from Russell. That has me anxious. If he starts bringing in position coaches and coordinators from Boise I will be downright worried.

Good point. That is unless he already has his DC hired and just not announced.
