Football is an unhealthy sport for people to play and probably unhealthy for our society. Just so many people walking with some degree of brain damage.. from the pros to HS.. maybe even middle school and rec leagues. I love the game, but the negative effects continue to add up..
RIP Rudi. I hope for the best for his family and friends right now.

I remember watching the highlight hundreds of times on some AU fan media site. Anybody remember what it was called because I don't? Lots of nostalgia in that video all the way down to the camera panning to the big Healthsouth ad underscoring Bo Jackson
RIP Rudi, an Auburn great.

Anytime a football player, especially a running back, commits suicide it's hard not to wonder. Tragic.

I played in 8th grade - a combination of dislocating my knee and just my general level of unathleticism made sure it is as only foray into the sport other than as a fan - and I remember the first thing we did after getting helmets was to walk around giving each other headbutts.
I told my wife after watching the Netflix SEC documentary, it's a beautiful game when played at a high level, but no way is our son ever going to put on pads and a helmet; his life and long term health is too valuable.

That was the first Auburn game I went to as a freshman.

The tale is that they were going to some two-year community college in Kansas scouting a Quarterback, trying to remember, maybe the kid from Marietta?
Wasn’t it Daniel Cobb?
No I do not want any tots.
I’m just asking was it him.
