Following elite 11 finals because I'm bored...

Vandergriff had a very impressive showing but several commenters agreed he had a "slapable" face

Miller Moss was very accurate and smooth

5* ND commit Buchner garnered a lot of negative reviews for his unorthodox delivery and accuracy (or lack there of)

Kyron Drones had a great showing

In this setting at E11 he's looked like the most talented guy in Texas. The coaches raved about him in day one too - Steve Wilfong

Del Rio performed well

Final Elite 11 Target Challenge standings:

1. Brock Vandagriff
2. Carlos Del Rio
3. Grayson James
4. Kyron Drones
5. Behren Morton
6. JJ McCarthy
7. Kyle McCord
8. Drake Maye
9. Maddox Kopp
10. Miller Moss

Final Standings 247's take

1. Ty Thompson (Oregon)
2. Brock Vandagriff (UGA)
3. Kyron Drones (Baylor)
4. Caleb Williams
5. Kyle Mccord (OSU)
6. Carlos Del Rio (UF)
7. JJ Mccarthy (Michigan)
8. Miller Moss (USCw)
9. Tyler Macon (MIZZ)
10. Behren Morton (Ttech)
11. Drake May (UNC)

Caleb WIlliams (OU commit) wins MVP despite failing to finish in the top 10 on some events (rigged)

Steve Wilfong said he would have given MVP to Drones or Vandagriff

Demetrius Davis notes below:

Dematrius Davis Auburn's quarterback of the future has been decently accurate with his throws over two days of action, but doesn't have a ton of zip on the ball and has a tendency to get careless with his mechanics. Fortunately, he's a phenomenal athlete, so his running ability masks his shortcomings as a thrower -SI

18. Dematrius Davis - Houston (Texas) North Shore
Grade: 1.94, 4 money throws

The Auburn commitment was sharp with his timing and anticipation throughout the workout. The accuracy was a bit sporadic but he was most comfortable outside the pocket.

18. Dematrius Davis - Houston (Texas) North Shore

Auburn's dynamic commitment played high at times Monday but settled outside of the pocket well.

I kept up with it too. Williams wasn't even a top 10 QB at Elite 11 to me. Drones really impressed me though.. I had no idea he was still 16. He has a chance to be really good.

As far as Davis goes, this type of camp isn't the best to display all his abilities.. He looks uncomfortable going through a few of the drills to me too, Nothing to be worried about though. What I was looking at was his arm strength because that's his biggest question mark imo, and I thought his arm looked way better than it did on his film.

Elite 11 was live streaming the past couple of days on their Instagram. No idea if its still viewable. They didn't show much of him honestly, but the drill they did on day 2 had a nice angle on him from behind and you could see how fast/hard his downfield throws were. Still not the best arm in the class by any means, but there was a big improvement there to me.

Damn! Keith said there was no video coverage due to Rona so I never checked.

It wasn't great, but I was bored lol. It was just a guy holding a cell phone and streaming it. Couple of the big name guys had poor showings though.. Williams and Buchner.

Drones is a stud. Still think Davis is better as a QB on the field. He just does so much

I agree with that. Davis is a playmaker and that's hard to replicate in drills.. When I heard Drones doesn't turn 17 for another month though, I have to admit I was wishing we we're taking 2 QBs in this class lol.

He absolutely did. He does tend to delete insider tweets after the fact, but it was stated. Don’t remember how exactly it was worded.

I haven't watched any Drones clips, but I'm really impressed with Davis. Davis' release reminds me alot of Nix's release, which both are 3/4 releases and have to wind it up a bit so the release is longer. Not slow, but longer. Neither have cannons, but I don't think either has below-average arm strength. Also like Nix, Davis seems to be at his best in a rolling pocket or outside the pocket. I hope Morris either adjusts to Nix's strengths, or Nix becomes better in the pocket this year. Granted he was a true freshman, but him bailing early from the pocket may have cost AU a game or two last year.

Drones looks really impressive as well.

Davis is being compared to Kyler Murray, with more power vs quickness. He is a perfect fit for a modern college offense. Hopefully we fully commit to this style.

I think it's obvious we are committed to it, w Morris' stamp on what type of QB recruits we are going after and ofc with his resume with QBs he tutored at Clemson, etc...

The keys will be, during the game, what type of game-caller is Morris? Or will be diverse on passing schemes to allow the QB to consistently move the team into the RZ and score more TDs...

Well it would be odd for him to say AU & the Vols led on the same day (I definitely saw the Vols led tweet), which was the day you posted & asked about him. He followed up a day or 2 again saying Vols led...

In my opinion. From what I’ve heard about Mondon is he really wants to whittle down his options and make a sound decisions. Not the type of guy to flirt with schools that don’t have a chance. I still think Its Tenn UGA then Auburn. I’ve learned you never count TWill out though

Can you really bail too early from Kim trying to block for you up the middle?

Those tweets were two days apart. He stated Auburn lead the day before and that he was a “silent” to them.

I don’t know much about the guy. Maybe he’s credible, maybe not. I do enjoy his effort to inform Auburn fans.

I know what you’re saying and what I’m saying is the same day you saw that tweet I saw him say Tennessee lead. The tweet I just posted wasn’t the same tweet I’m referring to, it was a secondary tweet off of the original tweet I was talking about. The reason I know he also said Tennessee lead that same day that you saw the tweet you did was someone posted it on AUFamily and posters were reacting It and getting upset about Tennessee recruiting so well.
