I don't think we can afford a 2 week DC search. I would promote Lance and let he and RG hit the road doing damage control. Thompson may also have some recruits in his back pocket that Coach Boom didn't necessarly want.

Thoughts on LT? He's going to get an interview per AL.com

I'm okay with it only because it'll allow us to save some money when hiring a new staff after next season.

Any word on the status of Rhett?

With a lame duck coach, he may be our best option.

He's almost as big of a douchebag as Pruitt and does he even have DC experience? No thanks

I never said it was an issue, but saving money is saving money...

I think he should get a legitimate shot to interview and be considered. I'm all for weighing all the options. While he's not the top candidate on my list I believe he has enough experience to make it work to the extent we need.

I guess we think Pruitt is going to Bama?

I don't know why you'd quote my reply and ask that question. All I essentially said is it's sensible to interview him despite not being a top candidate from my POV

Thompson was DC at UCF for three years before he was hired by Saban to join his first staff at Bama. As far as I know, he's been a position coach since. Don't know how he was at UCF.

Looks like Pruitt could be staying at UGA.

No connection what so ever. You just seem to be the only person here today that is not being a total tard. Including me.
I just wasn't sure where he would land if Smart doesn't keep him

Gotcha as far as everything I've read (mostly message board and beat writer plus twitter) I expect him to stay at UGA but you're right that if not UGA I expect Alabama.

Which would be extremely fitting for him to haunt us at a 3rd school in 4 years.

I have read where Bammer may be looking at Geoff Collins from Florida. Doesnt Saban and Pruitt have some issues?

No. Saban wants his sleeper agents to remain in place at other programs until further notice.
