The secondary looked the best it has in several years today. Hope he gets a look as our new DB coach.

You are right.

Won't surprise me if its not the DB coach from Kentucky. He was a GA at Bammer when KS was there.

I did think that the secondary played great today.

We played the passes in the flats better than I can remember... Memphis WR core was long on experience but short on athleticism. We did a great job of clamping down a taking away the short stuff... lynch never got in a rhythm.

The secondary was awesome today. The whole defense was the highlight of the game for me. 3 points, 205 total yards, under 100 yds rushing.

Im not aware of this db coach from UK you speak of but we've been trying to flip a 4* cornerback committed to UK for months. Could be something to watch if we get that coach.

As far as the db play today..Wow

We looked very aggressive attacking the bubble screens and there were always multiple AU hats around the ball in the secondary.

That unit could be very good next year.

Jamal Dean

Nick Ruffin

Jeremiah Dinson
Javarius Davis

Normally I'd prefer someone who has some more experience but he's learned from the best in TRob/Muschamp + has an extremely good reputation.

Nice overreaction to playing against a team with its HC and playcaller.

Isn't that what teams always do, play a team with their HC and play caller?

Meh, maybe. Do you blame them after seeing a defense play a game we haven't seen in a very long time?

I know we didn't beat Tom Brady, but the defense played with some serious intensity yesterday. It could have been very, very different. They could have come out flat and uninspired, losing the 73rd coordinator in 3 years. Memphis's first round QB could have easily put 300+yds on us. I don't think it's an overreaction to recognize a great game regardless of opponent.

Heck, how many times have we talked about Auburn playing down to their opponent? Our D didn't do that, they played their guts out.

Memphis was beat at the half. You could see it. We did what ever we wanted after the half.

Thats why I said yesterday, just enjoy the win and forget about what happened

That is not the same team that beat Ole Miss. The fell apart late in the season.

If only Lynch had had Scott Loeffler as his OC/QB coach, Memphis may have had a chance.

The Memphis defense came to play, but they got worn down by injuries and being on the field the whole game.

Offensively, UM was just off... lynch never got in rhythm. He took a couple good shots that might've affected him. I think it really surprised them how well our DL was able to get pressure.
