You talking about Gabriel?

He wasn't taught by Malzahn. He had already establish his QB ability before Gus got there.

And evidently he doesn't want to stay with Gus after his injury in Gus' first year...

If you're going for the lulz, always check spelling.

I haven't fell any trees lately. Steeler if that was the case then Stidham wasn't "taught by" Malzahn either, but wasn't he?

MAlsahn spent 2 years with Stidham. About 25 games.

Gabriel basically had how many games with Malzahn? 3

Before getting injured. But in those 3 games Gabriel had 9 TDs and avg over 300 yards a game.

I understand where you are coming from, but in the end Gabriel was a lot less Gussed by his offense than Sitdham and QB influence.

Minority opinion here, but Gus' issue is less about developing and more about identifying talent, and not filtering based on production.

I don't understand the hate for Calzada. Is it because they beat us? The guy didn't look bad and looked a heck of a lot better that TJ. I cant speak on if he looks better than Davis and I'm pretty sure Harsin doesn't want to start a true freshman next year.

I don't hate it. I agree he is definitely an upgrade to TJ. Just disappointed because of the other options that were available thru the portal this cycle.

Thread on the MSB about OU sites saying Caleb Williams might be entering the portal looking for the highest bidder

Gus is like a virus once you catch it, you'll always be affected by it. Besides that fact, isn't Gabriel already signed to UCLA?

ETA: I think the problem with Gus AUCE is that he doesn't train these players to be ready for the next level, so when they do get picked for the next level they have to be completely retrained.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have this guy. But he's not the lab grown version of Cam, Tebow, and Johnny Football. This NIL thing is getting wild.

And we have now entered the “hot stove” portion of the offseason. That time when players pledge their services to the highest bidder.

OMFG!!! Are you kidding me???

Hope not, he is not a QB. Yes I know he played it before but he is not an SEC QB

I think Harsin is more of an identify the need and fill the need type coach.

Plumlee is an athlete.
Just does not fit a particular need.

If you recruit stars instead of needs, the roster can develop holes.
