I dont want him to thrown Throne under the bus. I want him to throw Throne on the bench

Pick the best two backups and let them each play a half. Basically, have a live three game competition for the starting spot next year. Thorne is garbage. We can’t win with him and he’s gone next year. It’s insanity to start him the rest of the season.

You accomplish nothing by leaving Thorne at QB… put in WW with three games remaining. Hank isn’t SEC caliber, Griener is the only other option

You think this

But also this?

Holden is the only QB on the roster I’d rather see PT play over.

Hell, let each backup play a full game if you want. It doesn't matter to me. There's nothing to play for.

I realize we don’t really have anything to play for and Hugh is getting next year, but losing to ULM would be hugely damaging to him. On the other hand, knocking off one of Alabama or A&M would be the best win of his entire tenure and give him some momentum heading into the offseason.

I’m not advocating for starting Thorne, but the wins and losses do still matter and Hugh is gonna play the guy he thinks gives him the best chance to win. We aren’t getting some rotating audition for guys that Hugh doesn’t believe in.

I think if there’s still even a mathematical possibility of making a bowl (however remote) you play the guy that gives you the best chance to win the game.

I would hope Walkuh. I think it’s time you can put him out there a bit.

Someone mentioned in another thread that his mom has cancer and the plan is for him to redshirt. I guess if he’s not even run the scout team, idk how he’s going to run a game by himself.

Hugh just needs to accept these next three losses and hope he can turn it around next year.

Because he WILL play PT and we will lose all three games.

Unless the defense can score 14 points against ULM.

Hugh's well on the way to a 3 win season.

Which got both Chizik and Bowden shite-canned and you have to go back to the early 1950's to find a worst season. He's already damage done. And not making changes for fear of losing to la'Monroe is proof positive that he's waited far too late (to finally start coaching).

Him worrying about looking dismally bad (or somehow saving this season) is not even a possibility in make believe fairy land. He has no trump card left for this season..

Dumbest coach I have personally watched. Anywhere.

If it wasn’t so sad as an Auburn fan, you might even begin to wonder if he is throwing games.

It has been THAT BAD.

Don’t even care any longer until he is long gone.

I promise you the atmosphere around his job will be very different if he loses all the remaining games including ULM vs if he wins against ULM and Alabama and/or A&M. If he loses to ULM it’s going to be Brian Harsin in 2023 levels of discontent.

And I promise knocking off ULM will change absolutely nothing.

Hugh likely isn’t going to work out regardless of the outcome of that game, so if that’s your point I agree.

Doubt Hugh sees it that way though, and he’s the one who is picking QBs

Just take the guaranteed loss either way and trott Cam out there.

Atleast we can watch a fun game while we lose.

The plays were there. Hugh was right earlier this season when he stated that receivers were running open all over the field. PT just can’t see them.

This would give the younger guys invaluable experience. Play them all.

We have absolutely nothing to play for but the future. Let’s start it now.
