Auburn fans are absolutely unreasonable. Klubnik would be Auburn’s best QB since Stidham (Bo dramatically improved at Oregon).
Concepcion (NC State) and Hudson (Texas Tech) both WRs entered the portal. Since I can’t love football season as an Auburn fan I love portal season.

In 2021 and 2022, Payton Thorne had the following stats:
235/389 3,240 yds 27 TDs 10 INT
242/387 2,679 yds 19 TDs 11 INT
Just saying I feel like we had the same discussion about Thorne way back when.

Klubnik actually improved though

Thorne didn’t improve
And he is a 5* and can make all the throws

Even if he's not an all-american, I feel like this instantly puts our QB situation middle of the pack in the SEC at worst.

I guess I wasn’t clear: we never talked about Thorne before it came out of the blue that he committed. That is what I meant. Folks were not clamoring for him before the surprise announcement.

I would take Cade. But Clemsons schedule was abysmal. 2 ranked teams (UsC and GA) and his stats were ugly. I am not sure how you can compare with Mateer's either. WSU's schedule was worse.

Some guys will do better than expected, some guys will underperform, some might get found late. Well you cant have all that diversity if you are trying to fill a depth chart especially at positions such as DL which needs depth- at least two rotations.
