As others have already said, Mason Murphy is def not a lock to start at either inside or outside. He's got experience and will compete for a starting spot though. At worst its more depth and more competition which is badly needed. Really wish we could have gotten Moe.

Taye Seymore is officially signed.

Those a-holes spent the last 6months telling me Husk- Haskins was a national recruiter lol Now all of a sudden they're worried about not developing good relationships with coaches in state and decimating their own homebase??? Funny

Bama’s Emmanuel Henderson has also hit the portal.

More of that "talent" leaving out.

The 2023 season cannot escape my mind soon enough.

The 2023 season is like eating too many deviled eggs. You just can't wash that stink off

Brown had a decent year by his standards. I think Ga Southern will be a good spot for him. If he doesn't start he will at least get lots of snaps.

2024 frustrated me WAY more than 2023. We should have beaten Oklahoma, Mizz, Vandy, Cal, and Ark. Only Georgia and Bama were definitive loses, but we Even had chances in those match ups. In 2023 We weren't nearly as close but lost two games that will haunt my soul forever(Bama+New Mexico St). I hated this year more because we had the potential to be considerably better.

I agree completely! We would have been creamed in the playoffs, but how cool would it have been to be on the cusp of it.

I know everyone is frustrated, but we were one position shy of it. Bama gave us l4 turnovers for Peet’s Sake!

2023 frustrated me mainly because people kept saying we have better talent and acted surprised when New Mexico State thumped us hard.

Yeah we did have serviceable talent in certain positions like safety but we mostly sucked.

The upperclassmen talent the past 2 years has been G5 level.

Searcy:

2024 SEASON: Started five games and played all 12 on the defensive line and has logged 34 tackles (20 solo), 4.0, tackle-for-loss, 2.0 sacks, two forced fumbles, fumble recovery and a quarterback hurry… Has made a tackle-for-loss (2 sacks) in four of the last six games and forced fumbles in back-to-back games against Texas & LSU.

My 9 year old son's first in person Auburn game was 2023 New Mexico State. That will haunt me, and him, all our days

Wanna know how bad we sucked?

Our 5th year Sr Nickel/PR team leader that we begged to get out the portal and stay and move to CB... was beaten out at CB, THEN beaten out at Nickel, THEN beaten out at Punt return... all by True Freshmen.

Let that settle in.

That sucks man. On a positive note I took my little cousin to the 2014 Texas A&M loss. The game where Cam Payne had like 200+ and we lost because of a fumble near the goal line if anyone remembers. Anyway, he still loves the experience and was just happy to be in an SEC environment. Kids just enjoy going from what I've experienced.

I will always remember him looking up at me, his face covered in mustard from his hot dog, and saying "Dad, has Auburn ever been any good at football?". That's when it hit me, that from his perspective at 9 we have always sucked balls
