Nobody like Ewers is even in the portal. JA is far from a homerun but alot of people see him as the best guy out there rn, and there's alot of schools that need a qb and if Auburn ends up with him that's a dub. Plain and simple. Idk how yall can still doubt that Freeze is good at selling his vision. If Cade hits the portal after the yoffs and freeze wants him I expect him to listen and us to be players.

Cam Ward wasn't even "can't miss" himself. The guy came from a 5-win team and had good, but not "amazing" stats (very mid-tier QBR). He decided to pull out of the NFL Draft because he had a ~mid round grade.

Jv is derailing the convo. Cam wasn't in the playoffs last year. Had some of you claimed we were waiting on Milroe, Michigan's QB or Ewers to get finished with the playoffs so we can snag them, I would have called you dumb as hell.

"Can't miss" implies a guy who was already proven no matter where he went. If Ward wasn't elite enough to carry WSU to more than 5 wins, how can he be "can't miss"? They lost 10-7 to a 3-win Stanford team last season. He had a 20.7 QBR in that game.

You are letting his season at Miami cloud what he actually was coming out of WSU. He had a 63.7 QBR and threw for 25 TD's and 7 INT's. Again, clearly good...but if he was as good as you think he was, he would have stayed in the Draft. He was getting ~3rd-5th round Draft projections last season. Its not like he was a 1st round lock and decided to just go to Miami all of a sudden for fun.

His point may be legitimate and I didn’t say it wasn’t just that it’s infuriating. Putting emotion into this? By being less than impressed? Some people and their ability to take anything they deem negative and spin it as melting is amazing. Some of us just don’t see the point in pumping JA up when there’s not much substance to back up doing that.
