I couldn't tell if it was one or not. I assumed he was out of eligibility

I take it as a “thanks for sticking with us things are about to get better” message.

His tweet makes more sense then.

I still like the content. Not many wants to go through ups and downs if you aren't the starter.

Maybe he also got some NIL money for sticking with us since Hunter is gone.

Might as well. He should feel confident we wont run him into the ground! Damari Alston season.

E posted on the fam. I am sure Smurphy will chime in. But, we couldn't locked MM in. Now focused on JA. There is no QB that is not in the portal yet. JA or bust right now.

I bet its Arnold from Freeze perspective. He is mobile and he makes less mistakes.

Go back and watch some tape. He is very mobile and he got sacked 34 times. He was harassed to no end. And if he could get a second his top 4 receivers were out. Not a lot of run support, and the OC was fired in the midst of it due to poor play calling.

Someone mentioned a few days ago when he ran the ball he had about 750 yards but with all the sacks from poor o line play it brought his total down to about 450.

The dude is mobile as hell.

What I like about Arnold is that Jeff Lebby clearly wanted him to the point that he didn't mind losing Michael Van Buren, who actually played well for a true freshman. Lebby recruited Arnold to OU and saw him for a year; if he thought he sucked he wouldn't be pursuing him again.

Bring in a starting QB. Bring in a starting RB

No way this could go wrong

You mean like Etienne for UGA, Jalen Hurts at OU a few years back, Joe Burrow at LSU, Quinn Ewers at Texas, .....we could go on for a while.

Xfer QBs and RBs have done well in recent years.

We’ll definitely take JA just so we aren’t caught with our pants down with no qb, but it wouldn’t shock me if we make a run at another QB if they enter the portal after bowl games/Playoffs.

Ah the plot thickens.

Arnold is a good choice. Whoever the QBs are that are playoff bound and hit the portal, by the time they get there it is gonna be a select market that will need a second, and be willing to cough up for a second high priced one.

Plus, they will miss the window so they will have to wait til spring? The window closes on the 28th, how could they announce they are leaving and still play in the games?

I just heard Charlie 5 say he was turnover prone at OU because of bad O-line play. Isn’t that where we were this last year? I hope I’m wrong but JA ain’t moving the needle for me.

Dillingham is encouraging his players to go ahead and get in the portal if they want to so they don’t miss out on opportunity.

They’re still going to play.

LINK

There’s his stats and you would seem to be correct. He seems to be the more mobile of the two. Idk why but it just seemed Malik was the better fit for me. Guy with a big arm for a bunch of big receivers made sense.
