The portal doesn’t technically open until tomorrow so hopefully some bigger names enter in the coming days.
We need 2 so maybe we are in talks with our project/multi year guy and waiting for our superstar to enter eventually.

yeah, that was me. like you said, i'm sure a few will, but it just seems like every time a qb goes in the portal the narrative seems to be that they're gonna follow their OC or whatever. money talks. i think if Auburn offers enough, it could sway a couple of these supposed OC followers to take pause.

I expect us to strike out on a proven game changer at qb in the portal. There are not that many of those out there and a number of programs in much better shape than ours looking. Hope I'm wrong because the decline over the past 10 years is beyond anything I could have imagined and needs to change now.

So multiple schools with top ten recruiting classes back to back, including multiple 4 and 5 star WRs, a 2 year old state of the art complex, 90k seat on campus stadium, and a rabid fan base.

Idk why a qb would care all that much as long as he can show himself off and get his stats up. Stidham is still making millions, thorne was able to put up numbers here on paper. The talent from recruiting will be here, and it's the SEC where you get the most tv time and the highest chance to be a #10-12.

People are just in a piss poor cry me a river mood. Fact is I watched game after game of Auburn fans pack out Jordan Hare to watch a terrible product. By comparison I remember Ole Miss being undefeated and number 7# in the country in 2023 and Kiffin having to BEG fans to show up. Freeze has brought in the talent now we just need a trigger man that isn't brain dead.

There's no world where Hank Brown gets us back to where we want to go. Guess it would have been nice to keep him for depth and playbook knowledge but who really cares?

I highly doubt we could get Reed from TAMU. And he didn't exactly light it up vs good competition.

Hank needs to go to a team that runs an air raid short passing game. Short short short short, boom over the top.
