It won't end when we start winning. Remember tre Donaldson this year? I saw people acting like we screwed up big time for losing him even though we spent 8 weeks at No. 1 and we were always better than the team he went to. After that I'm convinced this is just a part of our fanbase. Ignore the 5* we signed and blubber and on about who we "missed" or lost.

He had a pretty good year as a freshman.
Same amount of TDs as Ryan Williams.

Neither one of those guys were ever gonna put up the numbers Smith at OSU did mainly because of the players around them. Coleman was a top 5 freshman WR last season.

I think you are misreading the board.
Tre was an important loss at the backup position. JP Pegues is the better comparison to Donaldson. If Donaldson was here we would have had more lineup options using Pettiford and Denver at the 1 or 2.

There were people on this board who argued that Tre was better than Pettiford or Denver just because of consistency. Every time we lose ANYONE there's a segment of our fanbase who talk as if we'll never recover because of the recent failure we've experienced. The shocking part was I never thought people would do that bullshite in Bball. We've made the greatest run in program history, but folks just started pumping that bullshite just like with Football. The only difference is I completely understand why they have a negative energy when it comes to our Football but basketball? I'm telling you even if we make the final 4 dudes will NOT shut up about WW if he's decent.

I’ll just say this. Long term, we got lucky getting Coleman and not Williams. I think you’ll see soon why, sadly. There’s a reason he hasn’t been practicing for Bama to end the spring. A lot up in the air with him still.

I dont believe that. Petitford was brought into play the 2. Denver was also a good 2. Donaldson was a loss for our bag of assets. You are being dramatic

Johnny, I was not dissing on WW, I was merely stating how bizarre the portal is, and the fact I would much rather face a first game starter than Robertson.
The ones who likely will never contribute, Im glad they are moving to programs where they can.
Joiner, the only reason he started last year was injuries. He was finally coming around. We spent a lot of money and time getting him there. And he leaves, that one annoys me, alot. But its part of the process now.

I'm more talking about how our fanbase acts about losing talent or not getting players in recruiting brother. Not just trying to direct things at one person. I thought we behaved like this because we almost never beat Bama for players under Saban, but it agitates me that I still see people go in about guys who didn't stay when it's just a part of the process. I remember some folks acting like WW was some enormous loss when I just believe it's a part of us getting better and closing on elite guys(Duece Knight)

Rather have Seven Cloud, the JCollege DL out of Georgia.

Plus he ran lazy routes. He way underperformed what he could have done.

Hopefully he’s better than the last Maryland LB, Moosy

Laniers original comment was about Coleman living up to the hype and earnining his NIL. I assumed the comment I replied to was also talking about Coleman, but maybe I’m wrong.

I thought it was Williams.
According to that article about the leading pass droppers in the SEC they had to have at least 5 to get on the list. That means Coleman had 4 or fewer drops.
So he must have been talking about Williams.
