Scott was a damn good nickle, but Freeze was determined to give him a shot at corner. Crawford had to have shown the coaches he was better the whole frickin time. We have to stop playing favorites. It was clear to the entire AU fanbase that he wasn't a true corner after the bowl game against Maryland.

Scott was dynamic as a return man and could’ve earned a living doing that, but he wasn’t consistent in the most important part…catching the ball.

This is another thing that killed our Field position.

I think Scott was as responsible for this as anyone.

12 game means the total number of games ensures you will have to be deep in talent to withstand all the injuries, thus only teams with deep NIL pockets.
The one upside, gone are the days of some piss arse conference ending up with an "undefeated" team getting the dogsnot beat out of them by Alabama or Georgia in the natty. To your point Lanier, the ones who should have won, won, and the pretenders get eliminated in the first round.

Couple of questions....
Where is Josh Thompson via decision making, is he a Tenn lean?
Ive heard a couple of sites say Mason Murphy might be better suited at guard, his pass protection is not great?
Pink mentioned Josh Thompson may be looked at similar (playing style not talent) to Dillon Wade, he could play tackle or guard.
Didnt someone on here mention that Malik Murphy may have been talked to about playing tackle, which would mean a year or two development, and impact what we do in the fall on the DL?

I think the new talking point is "experienced talent". Kinda like Boise. They only have 2, thats right 2, blue chip recruits. One 4 and one 5. But all their guys are old and married so that cancels out the lack of recruiting talent
The only thing "new" about that talking point is your exposure to it. CPD would have told you that in 1981. Shug and Bahr would have expounded on it in the 1960's.
As for Boise, 5 gazillion starts x 0 talent still equals 0. Barring a Jeanty miracle takeover, they lose big.

JLee said potentially sometime this week on his last hot board update. Not too sure where he's considering/leaning (Mich, UTk, us....)

Talking about the transfer portal, I see Tubs is interested in the governor spot.

Autry you mean?

Yes sorry, Autry, for some reason I insist on calling him by the wrong name. Didnt I read that on here before that they had a discussion about him being an offensive tackle?

Wonder if we might see a few pop after the playoff run for some teams. I could see some wanting to go into spring with a new home versus going through spring with the old and still not getting a starting spot.
There are some darn good second string OL in the playoffs that would start for us.

Well to be honest, judging from that beating Iamaleava took in the bowl game, Id say its a sellers market for OL to Tenn

If we can see the need for more OL I'm confident CHF does too
